I've been on Weight Watchers for the last six weeks and I've already lost ten pounds. Of course, I have to exercise too because dieting alone will not help me lose the weight. I find that I have to do little things to help motivate me to exercise regularly. One thing I do is to keep my sneakers right by the front door. This makes it easier for me to remember to walk every day and it keeps me from having to waste time trying to find my sneakers.
I certainly don't enjoy having to do this, but it really is a necessary evil. What kind of things do you do to help motivate you to exercise regularly?

That isn't dumb at all. A lot of people use their partners as motivation. Many people want to look good for the person they are with instead of letting themselves go. Good luck with exercising!

I am very practical when it comes to excercise. I want to be able to go somewhere. If something is within walking distance for me, I will walk there. I walk downtown a lot, and spend a lot of time walking through various parts of my hometown. If I have to go there anyway, I might as well walk.

I don't SOB... but I wish I would.
I think one of the best motivation you can have is for a training buddy.
If you want to run, get someone (a kindred spirit of sort) who would run with you, consistent x times a week or month.
Or another way is for your loved one(s) to comment on how they prefer you otherwise and you have an intense desire to please them.
Or you are really so focused in getting what you want (assuming getting fit is what you want).

i just look at the scale and its a really good motivation. i really need to exercise. other than that, i exercise in front of the TV. it makes my exercise a lot more fun. i tick the calendar whenever i exercise. it helps... i always keep in mind that i only need to exercise for 21 days everyday (it develops the habit)... after that, im good to go... :))

Thnakfully I enjoy going to the gym. I enjoy working out and it gets me out of the house. It gives me somewhere to go. Sometimes I do not feel like going but I know that it will benefit me when I do. I imagine what I will look like when I am thinner and the clothes that I will be able to wear.

I just get on the scale or stare at myself naked in the mirror. I don't look bad but I can stand to shed a few pounds. I also think about being at the beach in a bikini. Its usually not a problem for me to exercise, I just need to find the time and discipline myself more according to what I eat.
