Well, I did. Just yesterday I took my son the the library for story time. I really didn't think in a small town I would have to worry. I left my phone in the car without a care. I did notice however that someone rode a bicycle to the library. I parked right beside it like an idiot. Story time was over and we left. I didn't think to look for my phone I didn't need it. As soon as I got home I realized that I didn't see it where I left it. I drove back to the library and retraced all my steps. Still didn't find it. I called hubbers told him what happened. I'm not really so much as mad but it makes me sick to think that my personal space was violated. I'm pretty sure it was a kid because again like an idiot I had left my bank card in the cubby hole and it was untouched. I have never been stolen from before. Has anything like this ever happened to you?

I have never had anything stolen, actually I have when I was in school someone stole my bag with my calculator and maths coursework in it. Nothing important was stolen. Hopefully this will teach you a couple of lessons: a) To not leave your valuables on show. b) To lock your car.

Yeah I experienced that too..My wallet was stolen in the internet cafe..It was around 6 am and I just came home from town from the training in the C.A.T I just to sit down and start typing on the keyboards and suddenly, there are five teenagers who push me in the screen and get my wallet and I don't have the chance to get it back so I just cry than fighting back will be risky for me..:-( I just hate the cafe because they don't have a security guard that suppose to be there to protect the costumers...huhuhu

Nothing exactly like that has happened to me before that I can recall right now, but I was robbed. When I was younger my family and I left very very early in the morning to go pick up my step brother because of a situation and when we came back we all went straight to bed without a care but the next morning we noticed that our little stereo cabinet was stolen with my baby brothers baby books and its kind of funny that we found the cabinet in the trash but never any sign of the stereo or his baby book will all his baby pictures. As an adult I live in a trailer with my husband, my cat n my baby to be and one day hubby n I went to a company picnic only to come home to our house being broken into my cat got out and got bit by a raccoon heavy with rabies and had to be put to sleep. Our vcr was stolen, a suitcase and a rifle but not our tv or anything else. Yes it is very sad that people just dont care who they hurt because they are only after what they want. I am sorry that happened to you and I pray you never experience that or anything else like that again.

hi zanraven I used to work in our local library as a page shelving books and all other media. On my shift I heard this woman give a scream and stopped my work to go to her table. She said, I just came from the ladies room, and left my purse right here, pointing to the table, didnt you see who took it? I looked at her dumbfounded, no I have been wo rking, I didnt know i was supposed to watch your stuff. go report this to my supervisor. she is in her office. so she did and my super called the police. but of course they did not find her purse. If only she had taken it with her to the restroom.

Bless your heart. It's always such a shock when something like that happens. When I was in high school, I had my birthstone ring stolen from my locker (locked) while I was in swim class. It had to be someone I knew, because the ring was new and I had been showing it off. It was a birthday gift from my folks when I turned 16. Years later, I had a guy break into my apartment. My baby sister was visiting and she walked in while he was still there. (I was at work.) The security guard and maintenance guy did chase the guy and catch him, so all of my stuff was eventually returned. But he had gone through everything in my house - even the freezer (and had all of my frozen meats in a bag ready to take) - and my sister and I felt so violated. A year later, there was a trial and he went to prison for quite a while...since he was a repeat offender. Then, years later, like you, I lived in a small town and left my Bible and a notebook with my sermon notes on the seat of my car. I think, in fact, I made a quick trip into our library. When I came back, both my Bible and notebook were gone. With that one, I prayed that the thief read the Bible he/she had stolen.

Ten years ago, I found my wallet was lost when I sat down in the train to another city, I immediately reported to the train policeman, but he just recorded because nobody knew how it happened. Later I thought hard that it must be stolen when I queued going up to the train, I put my wallet in my back pocket where was easy to be stolen. It was a big trouble because I put my ID card in it and it took me long time to get an new one. Evermore, this thing never happen on me because I am careful of my belongings when I am out.

Yes from my local friendly or I thought it was friendly gym! It was only local to me and a private one, I don't usually take my mobile phone in with me but I left it in my bag as I always do, everyone leaves their clothes and bags in the changing room, I have always done it and never had cause to doubt it because I have had nothing stolen and I had been going there for 2 years. Well when I got home I had to make a call and went to my bag to get my mobile phone, it wasn't there, I felt sick inside, so I drove back to the gym and reported it to the manager, there wasn't anything he could do, we called the police, but all they did was take a statement from me and the gym manager I was so angry that someone could do this, I never got my phone back and they never caught the thief, the gym had a good idea who took it but couldn't prove it! The worst thing was that I felt violated and that someone who I was working out in the gym had gone through my stuff and stolen my phone. I was very angry!

Dear friend, Luckily nothing like your had happened. But one of my friend lost his key chain and his mobile. When we were in a restaurant we chatting and just then he went to washbasin to wash his hand along with him we all went and when we came back we found that my friends key chain and mobile was lost.Later we informed this to manger of restaurant and to the police as his mobile contained much of important matter he had saved. But it was vain that both things were not got back. Later my friend was very much careful he mostly keeps his mobile in his pocket.

I am sorry that it happened to you, it is easily done though leaving things on display in a car. I have nearly done it a few times and my hubby has reminded me on to put it out of sight. Its not just the violation though its the fact that someone just feels they have the right to take something that belongs to someone else, it makes me so mad that this happens.

I've been robbed before, i think it was the sunday before christmas 2007 and me and my family went out shopping and we were gone for about two hours, and the burglar gone into the house through the back door and went straight to were we have all the jewells and the burgular took all of them. I think he had a metal detector or sometnimh because he/she went straight to were we keep the jewels. When we got home we tried to open the door but it was locked frokm the inside so we thought when we closed the door something might of happended with the lock. So we decided to see the back and the back door was open and still we didnt think we had been robbed we thought we didnt close the back door when we went. When we got indside and went upstairs the place where we keep all the jewellry had been brocken into and stolen. This is when we realised that we had been robbed. We informed the police but we still haven't had any info on who might have the jewels. This was the first time but we soon got over it by the time christms came.

Yes, unfortunately I have been a victim of violation as well. It really is sad to think that the world has become a place where you even have to worry about leaving things in your car in fear of someone not knowing right from wrong. This is a personal space violation and does not feel good whether it is a material item or something that matters for the heart. I was at work and got my GPS system stolen. Of course after that it was brought to all staff to watch their belongings. I was kind of upset. Only after the fact did anyone start worrying, and that doesn't get my stuff back. Nowadays, people just take what they want when they see it and it's not right. We are living in a greedy, materialistic world where people starting at a very early age are being taught that if you want something that bad...you have to go for it. And while this is okay is you're telling someone to never give up on your dreams...unfortunately people are finding loopholes.
