So my cousin is an Artist, with cake. She can take any picture and turn it into an edible art. This year her son for his birthday, wanted a human heart cake. But my cousin being who she, could just make it look like a heart. No, she had to make sure it beat, but not only beat but also squirt blood out of it. None of the adults ate any of it, though all the children ate some, and one couldn't handle the way it looked and got sick. It was cool, and the coolest cake I have even seen. So look at the picture of it and tell me what you think?

WOW!! That is very cool. How on earth did she make it beat? I am a bit of an ameture cake artist myself, but I could never think of going that far with it. I go 3-D and make all sorts of candies and decorations and all that, but to make a cake pump....hmmmm.just can't picture it.

Gothic Tinkerbell - The stars were real blinking lights. Looked really neat. This was for my daughter's birthday.
she used a prosetic pump. Basically an air bag, with a pump. She did the same thing, with the blood, but instead of an air pack, it was a blood pack. (Corn syrup and red food coloring, She had to cover it in Fondant, for it to work. She has an imagination, that just don't quit. Here is a picture of the cake she did for my daughter. You can't see it in the picture, but the lights blinked off and on.

That one is cool too. I have never thought of putting lights on a cake either. Man, I want to meet this friend of yours!

One would have to be very talented to make it even beat and squirt blood at that! I'm responding from my email, so I will have to wait to see what it looks like after I submit this. How old is her son that wanted a cake like this?

He just turned 11. He is a boy's boy that is for sure. Likes bugs and guts and that kind of stuff. Though lately he has been talking that he wants to be a doctor some day. Maybe that is why he asked for it.

I didn't try any of it, but my kids said it was really good. That I know to be true, because she makes the moisted cake I have ever eaten. She makes all of my cakes that I need ordering, because she is good. Though as I said before, she don't realize how good she really is.

that reminds me of something they'd make on the show Ace of Cakes. Your cousin is very talented...that's amazing. Plus, it has the effect of making people stick to their diet. :-)

Well I have certainly seen one now! And I honestly don't know WHAT to make of it! lol. I can appreciate that for a kid this must be fantastic though! It's sort of like peeling grapes and telling kids that they are eyeballs at Halloween..... I do have to say that your cousin is certainly creative!

That she is. Though, sometimes I don't think she realizes just what kind of gift she has. She made my daughters cake this year too, it was gothic tinkerbell, with flashing stars on it.

You think this one is gross looking, last year his request was brains with maggots covering it. Talk about gross looking. Only two kids would even try that one. LOL
