My grandmothers battle with cancer is nearing the end so I'll be away for awhile

My grandmother was diagnosed with cancer almost 2 years ago but her battle, unfortunately, is coming to an end. I am leaving tonight to spend what could be the last days with her and will have no internet access while I am there. I know my sister will let me use her laptop to at least try to maintain the minimum activity for most of my sites, but it will leave me with very limited time. I wanted to let my friends know why you will probably see a drastic drop in my activity for a while. I just can't let this opportunity pass me by without spending as much time as possible with someone that has been a very important part of my life. For the friends that I have traded signup with, I will get back to my daily tasks as soon as possible and really hope you would be kind enough to maintain your clicking while I'm gone. It's very possible that I may be on very limited computer access for a week or more.

People are more important than things, or computers, and spending time with her these last few days is one gift that you can give to her and to yourself. You will not regret it. On the other hand, if you had not, you might be sorry. Go, and soak up all the time with her you can.

Have a good visit with your grandmother, Lynn, and don't be afraid to give her a big hug. It'll do both of you good. Take care, and we'll see you when we see you.

Geez..sorry to hear of your impending loss. The computer is always somewhere at hand...not so for your grandmom. Just be there to say goodbye, you both need it. Godspeed and a thought goes out to you and yours.

Hi Paid Reader, sorry about your grandma, I have lost two grand parents to cancer too a few years ago so I know how you must be feeling to some extent.. It is very kind of you to let everyone know you will be away as this is of small magnitude to what you're experiencing and there's a lot to be said for that Take Care

I am sorry to hear about your grandmother's condition. She must have been strong for the last 2 years, now it is your time to be strong as she says goodbye. May your goodbyes be infused with a sense of hope that you will see each other again.

I am new to this board, but your post struck a chord with me. I am truly sorry for what you are going through. My father, too, has cancer and he is at the end stages where he has to be under hospice care. I know that this is a very difficult time, my thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Hospice is a wonderful service to people with life ending illnesses. The month that my grandmother was in their care was wonderful and I'm glad we retained their services. She didn't even know that something like this was available so it relieved alot of her worries there at the end.

I am sorry to hear about that.I agree with you that your grandma is more important than your computer.A computer will always be here a person will not.It is always sad to find out someone is dying.

Oh Lynn, I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother and her fight with cancer, and completely understand why you won't be here for a while. This might be the last time you get to spend with her, so it's precious, and very important that you be there. I'm sure she will appreciate you being there. You will be in my thoughts Lynn during this time. Take care my friend.
