On Time Or Late?

I thought I would start a discussion on being on time or late. I am on time for everything when I say everything I mean everything. If I go to the doctor I am there about 30 min. before time. At work I am the first one there. Church I am about 1 hour a head of time. If someone asks me to go places with them I am sitting here waiting on them 1 hr. to 30 min before they show up. And usually they are late. I hate to have to wait on someone. Are you an on time person? Or are you always running late?

I always try to be on time, and am never late for appointments but if i am running late to meet a friend or something like that i will always let them know! I went on a date last night and the guy was 20 minutes late to meet me! i wasn't happy as i was sat in a bar on my own and everyone was looking at me!! hehe i don't like it when people are late though, it's annoying to be kept waiting, sometimes there might be a ggenuine reason why though! xxx

First of all time is something i value a lot. I make sure i am on time where ever i have to go whether its college, or to meet a friend, or to a party etc. Time is something very precious and we must utilize it in the best possible way. Being late would be killing the other persons time. So i always make sure that doesn't happen. Well there are a few instances when i was late but it was not my fault. It was due to all of a sudden train delays or things like that. Not on purpose. I have a few friends who really get me pissed of at times. they come half and hour to 1 hour late and its really irritating trust me. Once a friend made me wait for 3 hrs can u believe that!!! I was so freaking pissed off with him and when he came fired him left and right!!!

i always give about an hour or two allowance depending on how far the meeting place is. if the place is just near my home i can give 30 mins allowance for my travel which i think is just enough since i dont have any control on the traffic. i do admire your patience since you're always waiting for an hour or much longer. if i were you i'd walk out since it's no longer my fault and i dont have the time to wait that long while the person i'll have my mtg with is still having a good time in her home. it's unfair and unethical to keep someone waiting for hours.

I think I am an on time person.I always have the same experience ,just like you. When my friends invite me to go out,I will get there 30min or 15min earlier. But I always have to wait for a long time. What's more, they has never noticed this. The problem also troubles me.I don't want to play in a bad skin. So,happy first.

I try to be directly on time (like right on the dot), but often I end up too early or a little late.

I think I should be on time. A friend invites me to his birthday on 10:00 am. I gotta go now. Else, I would be late. Take care!

Hi Chevee Like you, I am an on time or early bird. My husband makes me latemuch of the time even though I have to do any preparations necessary. It drivesme absolutely nuts!!!!!!!!!!!! When I was a working women, I was always the first there. No matter what. I left early enough in case there was a traffic hold up. In all my years of working I was late one time for an hour and a half because of an accident on the Interstate that I was traveling. Couldn't even get off to take the back streets. My mom was always late. Always... She use to say that by being late we could make a Grand Entrance. I would have rather gone in the back way so I could sneek in. Go figure. leenie

I can't stan being late. I always try to get places at least 15 to 20 minutes early sometmes earlier. Even if it means waiting. I don't want to make people wait or be one of those people who walks in late and everyone turns to look at.

I hate being late. I hate when others are late. I'm not there too ahead of schedule. I'm there probably about 10 minutes ahead of time. Sometimes it's 30 minutes but I try to be there a bit ahead of time that way if something comes up or something I'm not waiting too long. I also hate waiting on other people so I try not to get there too early if I know they'll probably be late.

I hate being late simply because it messes up my own schedule and makes me loose time. However it doesn't really seem to matter these days if you are on time. I am ALWAYS at least 10 minutes early for doctors appt and end up litterally sitting for at least an hour past my appt time because others were late. I know sometimes things happen that might make the doctor have to spend additional time with a patient, but if htey didn't book 2-3 patients AT THE SAME TIME that wouldn't be a problem. I have atually looked at log ins and in talking with other patients waiting, the doctors do this to make sure they have patients for each minute they are there. But they can't see more than one at a time so the others sit and wait and he doesn't care if the rest of the patients sit for hours in his office. He makes his set amount for the day. That really bugs me - and on top of that, last 3 docotrs I have been to for the first time, made ME sign a sheet that said if I am late, I agree to ALLOW them to charge my account $50!! However, I can't get credit to my bill if I sit way after my appat time. Really makes me really mad. But I set my watch and my living room clock 3-5 minutes fast all the time. I just know that I'll need it, traffic, extra things to carry to the car, one little thing after the other, nad if I all goes well, I am still only 3-5 minutes early - I can deal with that! I started this just to make sure I was on time to pick up my grand daughter at school. Her daddy forgot her one day for an excursion they were going on and she was so jazzed and he just decided to go with his friends instead and never called or anything. She was literally terrified that everyone would always forget her, and then he was late getting her once at schoool, so to keep her from worring about me...I make sure I am there a few minutes early - - just in case.

I like to be on time, I hate to be late but neither do I like to get somewhere too early. It is bad manners to always turn up late to things, my hubby likes to get to places early, usually about 15 - 30 minutes earlier. It has rubbed off on our children too as if they think they are going to be late for school they will get into a right panic about it. My sister in law is always late, usually by about an hour which is annoying she is just so laid back about timekeeping it is untrue.

I am the same way. I am consistently early and NEVER late to appts or to being where I said I would be, and when! That said, I am lucky I haven't had any emergencies or accidents happen to prevent that from happening for me. If it did, I would just call and explain. I hate it when people are always late. To me that is saying I don't care about your time, I only care about me and mine!

I am always on time! The only time I will be late if theres an emergency! I don't mind waiting for the others as long as I am waiting inside my house! But if I'm meeting them outside I wouldn't have the patience.

I hate being late, but I can never say that I am always on time for things. I try to be 30 mins early to everything. I don't like to leave people waiting.
