13.... The Unlucky number...

Nah. I don't really believe this. But My favourite number is 13 though. The chinese loves the number 8. 8 to them means "get rich".

I have heard this very often. But 13 has been a very lucky number for me. I was born on 13th. My husband too was born on a 13th.

LOL... I do not have the 13 number superstition. Nor do I believe in the 3 person in a photo curse. It's hard to believe in an unlucky number unless a lot of accidents involves 13 people or 9/11 happened on 13/13. I do not believe in number superstition.

Believe it or not, Number 13 is unlucky number, you can find it when you entering a building, there's a lot of building avoid this number in their's ... so you can't find number 13 in the lift, but number 1408, it is just a movie after all :-D I wonder about the words .. "Friday the 13th" ... why is always 13?? Dunno, just guess .. lol

No as much as I don't want to believe it because I knew it is not true, but my mind refuses not to believe. Number is greatly marketed as unlucky number in fact some of the buildings have no 13th floor, some just name it 12a or 12b. In some streets also there is number 13 house, number 13 is also the 6th prime number, associated with 666. Microsoft also skip this number. They also say that when someone seated on the 13t chair on the table in will die next year. From where this begin, well there are a lot of theories. Some attribute it to the last supper, where 12 apostles seats plus Jesus equals 13.

I've also heard some hotels don't even put a room 13 in their hotel!

Yeah I heard it too, I dont even understand why 13 is called unlucky number, but I never heard of 8 is also called as an unlucky number, if I'm not mistaken in China, 8 is considered to be a lucky number, because the pronouncement in their language is close to.. emm something positive please correct me if I'm wrong about this As for me, I dont believe in lucky or unlucky number, its all the same for me, well in the case of number 8 in China maybe a brain suggestion is involved, like, what mentioned in the book the secret, if what you think is a positive one, you'll get positive result, and negative thought would resulting in something negative. and by the way, japan is also has a culture for not saying something negative like fail, or fall, when they're facing something like exams.

I have heard it so many times and to be honest I am so sick of it. I for one can say that 13 is my lucky number. So many good and great things have happened to me which include the number 13. I think that people need to stop making such a big deal of the number. You only make it unlucky because you make it unlucky. It would be the same for any other number for really anyone.

Number 13 is unlucky for those people who believe that it is really unlucky. But for Japanese i think number 13 is a lucky number. Personnaly, i believe this is just a myth. It's all in the mind of the individual since everyone is capable of creating anything in the mind. Still as persons we have the power to erase all those unlucky things we have in mind. Let's start to be positive and enjoy life.

I don't think that either of those numbers are unlucky. 8 is my lucky number and i have always had good luck on friday the 13th. I don't get it. I think it's just stupid superstitions.

Yup even i have heard that 13 is a very unlucky number since i was a small kid. I basically have no clue why. But i have never heard that 8 is also unlucky. This is the first time i'm hearing it from you. There is also a film names Friday the 13th which seems to be a horror movie i guess and also the Friday during the year that is dated 13th is dreaded by many people as they are superstitious. I some how do not believe in all such things and its all crap. I'm not at all a superstitious person at all.

i dont think a number 'll bring good or bad.its up to their own doings. i have many friends with mail ids ending in the number 13 and many believe 13 as their lucky number or unlucky number. anyway im not believe in all these things.

I am not superstitious, nor do i believe in horoscopes or any other such stuff. I believe that whatever is "gonna happen next", its purely unpredictable, and is neither affected by any numbers, charms, or anything that simply has a profound effect because its present in our world. In fact, i have taken the number "13" to be my favorite number, including it in my email and occasionally, user names as well. The story this whole thing started dates back to the roman times btw, when an un-invited thirteenth guest came to a party and crashed the statues of the gods.

Hi vidhyavini, all numbers are unlucky for me. I never had luck with numbers. I actually flunked math at least three times in school and needed special tuitions to pass my mathematics exams in SSLC. So, all numbers are unlucky for me. I just hate numbers. ;) Cheers and happy mylotting

I believe on nos and i like 7 the most. I try to do the things maximum on 5 or 7 but unfortunately always the plans will get end up on 8. But really i took many times as a courage and i succeeded also. even my first day of career and my house regn everything happnd on 8. but going well too. Hi. Actually, there is no such thing as an unlucky numbers. More likely, it is a product of associating the number with a significant unfortunate or disstrous event. Some people would point out a certain date in history associated with such number where something fateful or catastrophic had happened.

I am confused..dont find any scientific relevence of it...maybe its beyond explanations or only a creation of our minds..
