I have Norton 360 anti virus on my system and I love it. It has anti virus, spyware and adware also phishing protection, identity safe settings and log in settings. Plus it updates itself daily and lets me know of any issues as they happen. You can buy this online or at a department store or a PC store. I can also get my updates and upgrades online. You should check it out. It is not that expensive but it is not cheap either.

You are right that it is a little expensive, but i have tried a few free ones and they were just not as good. When I had MacaFee, which was free, I wound up getting a trojan virus and that was very hard to get rid of. I have not had a problem since I have had Norton. So, to me it is worth the money since I am all over the internet.

I use the free version of Avast. It is easy to use once you figure it out. The version updates itself automatically, and it seems to be very effective. It may not be the best one on the market, but it seems to be doing the job.

We are using McAfee Anti Virus and its doing really good. In my desktop computer we use Nod32. A friend of mine Nod32 is new and a good anti virus, but i am not sure about that. Maybe you should try Nod32. And if you want you can try mcafee too coz its really good

As far as free edition is considered Avast is the best. It can detect and remove 88% of viruses. If your looking to buy one you could consider Kaspersky

There are so many good anti virus software. But I like free software with good performance. So, I'm install NOD32 ver 2.7 anti virus system from ESET on my note book to protect it from viruses and I'm also install Webroot Spy Sweeper Version 2.6.1 to protect against spyware and other destructive software like unnecessary cookies, trojan, keylogger, etc.
They are freeware, only consumed small memory and they updated their database on regular basis, so I almost protected every time I surfed to internet.

I have the Norton system on my computer. This is an "antivirus, anti-spyware" program. Works very well. You can buy it online too.

I used avg as my anti virus. It is good in finding virus and it uses less memory and cpu than most of the other anti viruses.
But i now prefer not to use any anti virus. If we use secure browser like opera and firefox, chances of getting infected is less.

Im using Nod32 from ESET. It really protects my laptop from any forms of viruses. Also I use free version of avast and a full version of DEEP FREEZEZ by faronics. With these three softwares, I'm comfortable with my laptop. Im not afraid of any viruses because I know I can kill them when they intrude my laptop.

I'm using ESET NOD32 Antivirus Home Edition.. It automatically detects the viruses in your computer.. malware, adware, spyware threats? no problem.. this antivirus will automatically detect it then delete it in your computer.. And if you need the downloads of its full version, Visit the link at my profile that says "Request your favorite software here!" Something like that.. Goodluck and happy mylotting

It's not free, but I use Nod32 AV. Its silent and almost never bothers me for anything, whether its updating or not (and I don't even know if its updating). Works well for viruses, and some trojans, though if you want to be secure, get Spybot as well. Runs smoothly for everything and I've never experienced any problems with it conflicting with any programs. I love it cause its quiet.

Avira, Avast and AVG are all great free AV programs... And on top of that... ClamWin is a free (light on resources) AV scanner that does its job well.
