Power cut. Those are the time when our PCs take rest. Hehe. Lol. I just started spending my time usefully. Our schedule is from 3 to 6 in the evening. 9 to 10 in the night and 4 to 5 early morning. 4-5 I never felt like power cut. I will be in deep sleep of course. Hehe. 9-10 I will just spend my time talking to my mom. Hehe. Thats one of the rare thing that I do. 3 to 6 I will clean my house, water the plants and will go for walk for an hour and take bath. These are the things that I have never done before except that bathing. Hehe.

Hi!!!! Powercut during these days are really irritating me to the core.Totally for two continuous hours there wont be power...I used to put ma mobile in charge in early morning coz i used to hear FM when there is no power and i used to listen songs in ma mobile. Then sometimes i will call ma friends and talk to them, will read newspaper and weekly magazines. But the one good thing that has happened for me because of powercut is i have slightly improved ma skills of reading.

Hello vijbas. Power cuts are really horrible. In my city in India there are very very rarely power cuts but if one happens to occur its really irritating and frustrating. Especially during summer time if the electricity happens to go for something its gets so damn hot and I just can't sleep. During cooler seasons its at least a little bearable as the heat is not there but still inconvenient. When there are power cuts there is nothing I can do on the computer. So I just sit down on a chair and look out of my window or I just lay down on the bed with my eyes open waiting for the electricity to come.

Well im sorry for that power shortage in your country but i think its not the end of the world if there is power cut off,let say you have to iron your clothes but of course impossible if no power supply then is suggest that you use flat iron using charcoal, its nice to be back in the old time. or just fold your clothes in a nice way.or maybe do some excercise while waiting for the power supply to come back, or maybe prepare your ingredients for cooking and of course always stock candles at home.a lot of things to do even without power supply.

When I am at home during a power cut I actually like to take a shower. I take a candle and place it in the bathroom. Only one candle. The shadows and the soft light of the candle fire makes the experience very pleasant. (if you wander how do I have hot water, when there is no power - I shower with cold water always)

I am right now learning Braille entirely by touch, and one advantage of knowing Braille is that one can read it in the dark. So, hopefully, I will know Braille well enough during the next power cut to be able to read a Braille book or two, and to still be able to get around my apartment and read all the Braille labels I am putting everywhere even if it is pitch black. Reading a Braille book requires no light and no electricity.

it was really quite boring and annoying for me during power cut-off/brownout. In those times, I just lay down on the sofa or bed while waiting for the electricity to resume. Sometimes, I talked to my family about anything or play games in my cellphone. Fortunately, I haven't experienced yet having a long brownout in our place, I don't know if I can take it if it will be longer.

hey vijbas. the power cut timings in my city is one and a half hours. the timings is between 10.30 and 12 in the morning. but since the power cuts are in the morning and that too for a short duration i somehow manage to engage myself. i listen to music in my ipod or play games in my mobile. sometimes i read novels. but if the timings would have been in nights then it would have been very difficult.

Nice topic, the solution is going ahead with the nuclear deal.I just now heard that the NSG has waived the nuclear deal for India,I'm so happy for that.As India is growing very fast,we cannot be dependent on our present energy reserves. It was really wise decision taken my the Prime Minister to go ahead with the N-deal.Only N-deal can solve this power crisis.Feel happy that our future generation will be having enough power. So guys don worry you wont be having any more power cuts as the N-deal is going before the US congress on the September 8th.Right now we are having severe power shortage, but as we are having inverter at home I'm just doing my routine job. God Bless All.

Luckily we dont have it here often, or maybe it isnt lucky as I would get more done. On the rare occassion it goes out if it is day we will go outside and do cleaning or something else side. Or we might read, play games, just talk or I may decide to organize more things. If it is night I will read and everyone else normally will sit around and fall asleep. LOL!

Hello,Vij! No electricity means life is just miserable. It is the prime duty of the government to arrange electricity to supply to consumers. They may cut the supply of electricity at such times that people will not feel its absence at home.Specially power cut should not be enforced during night time as it will have adverse effect on studies of the children. So also it will adversely effect the business.Besides it will encourage the anti social elements to gear up their activities during power cut in the night.Thanx to my government, it has not imposed power cut in my city for the last seven years.thanx.

Wow, Vjibas, that's terrible. Even though it's scheduled, it's still hard to bear, especially if the weather's hot. There's nothing much to be done; except for reading, which I'd enjoyed very much, except that it'd be so hot and uncomfortable at home. Unless I can go elsewhere, like in the mall, or sit down at an air-conditioned coffee cafe, and read my books or work on my laptop!

When the electricity is cut off, mostly I would sleep. I cannot think of anything to do during power cuts. Some more it's hot,but if it's still early to get to bed,I will go to the park in my neighborhood to have a walk and get some fresh air.

during the power cuts i love to play with younger ones in my house. I am having brothers and sisters so i have no problem to deal with it. Whenever i get power cut ususally the young boys available in my home will come and play with me. I also love to play with them, it gets much happy and i won't worry about powercuts and i enjoy playing with them.
