I am 23 years old and a single mother of two children. My oldest daughter is four and youngest is two. I am disabled. I have a muscle disease called charcotmarietooth...yeah long word right? I have trouble using my hands, and I wear braces on my legs. I am a very nice person but if your being an @ss I will flat out let you know whats up....I have two sisters that I absolutely love and wish we could spend more time together. I couldn't tell you the last time we hung out together. I am very independent and hate asking for help and when I absolutely can't accomplish something, like opening a jar I flip out and cry..
I just discovered august 15th that my youngest daughter has charcotmarietooth. She now has her own little pair of AFO's for her feet...they are soo cute, they're pink lol. I thank god everyday that my oldest daughter doesn't have charcotmarietooth.
I love to cook. I enjoy driving just to drive. I love how the ending days sunset can give the earth such a beautiful glow. All the places that I have drove, West Virginia is my favorite. I look forward to being someones significate other. I want my husband to come home to a clean house, and the air smelling of something sweet cooking in the kitchen. I want him to walk up behind me without hearing him, and he kiss me on my kneck and say,"How was your day beautiful?" And I imagine when I am old, I will be sitting on the front porch of our comfortable home facing a valley of trees and wild yellow flowers, that he will come sit next to me, put his arm around me and say that he couldn't of asked for a better life.

You seem very nice, warm and a positive person. I hope all your dreams come true.
As for me, I am a 30 year old happily married woman. No kids yet. I am type 1 diabetic meaning Im on a lifetime insulin regimen. I enjoy life just like you do. I love to cook, I love to bake too. I enjoy little surprises. I am very affectionate. I love to cuddle and kiss. I value my family so much (and I miss them a lot-my parents & siblings live in another country). I like traveling, enjoying sceneries, trying out new dish, being in new places. I used to work as a school based Occupational Therapist but now Im staying at home and doing online studies on child psychology.
I dream of having my own children, I hope they dont get my diabetes (cause it sucks when you have to give your self a shot everyday, and poke your self to draw blood 3 times to check on your sugar levels). I dream that I could grow old with my husband who I love so dearly. ANd I dream of spending time with my parents, siblings, niece & nephew someplace in Bahamas or in Milan...

Omg I was heart broken when the doctors told me that they were going to do an EMG on my 1 year old(2 the 29th yeay) and then I got a letter saying what they were going to use and how they were going to do it....When i seen they were going to use needles for the EMG I absolutely refused to let them stick a bunch of needles in her a shock her...refused. So they used electrobes and they put her to sleep so she wouldn't remember too much....my daughter is defenately a fighter like her mommy they had to give her three shots of anasteia(sp?) to get her to sleep finally...and then they ended up just sticking her five times with the needle to double check the POSOTIVE results...I balled my eyes out...he didn't even candy coat the results he put the machine up and goes ok she has it and handed me tissues and walked away......jerk.
Its hard during pregnancy too being parinoid until you first see the little one, you just automatically know everything about him/her when you see them....I knew right away my oldest was perfect she was just sooo chunky and big muscled....8 lbs 7 oz and I'm only 5'1 and 97 lbs lol....and then my youngest was 7 lbs even and she was sooo tiny....I want to have another when my youngest gets all of her physical, developmental, and speech therapy done to where I don't need to help her as much....she doesn't talk, she doesn't walk very well, so I spend alot of time with her exercising and trying to get her to talk....she don't even say mama...nothing she just grunts...
but anyways even if your kids do get diabetes, they will still be perfect, and they will have someone great to help them with it....good luck and best of wishes.

Can you tell us how to pronounce your condition because I have never heard of it and even having a major of English, I am finding this one hard to pronounce?
Anyway, I am 23, I am still in college and my major at the moment is English (it was music at one time, but I realized that I love to write a lot, so my major became English and I received my AA in English this last year and now I am working on my BA), I have a boyfriend, I take care of my boyfriend's sister, I am a freelance writer, I lost the only brother I have ever known two years ago to Type 1 Diabetes, I have no children, I have three cats, I love comic books and graphic novels, I love to sing, I love to dance, I love to act, I love to write, I love to make collages, I love to walk and jog when I can, I have Asthma, Allergies (and my Allergies are really bad right now), Acne, Eczema, Psoriasis, dandruff, a small reading disorder, I wear glasses, I am slightly over weight (I was at 220lbs and now I am at 170lbs, I still have twenty more pounds to lose), I love watch "Heroes" on Monday at 9PM on NBC and I am a big "Heroes" fan (I am an "X-Men" fan as well if you looked at my username), I also love things that are unusual or strange, and I love dictionaries and collecting specialized dictionaries. I love listening to music. I love women's rights. I love dragons, animals, mermaids, ancient history, and ancient literature.
My dream is to become a teacher or instructor, and I would like to one day settle down with my boyfriend, and hopefully (but this is not for certain) have children. I would like to go travel the world if I can. I would love to go to Great Britian and France. I would also love to go to Japan.

Hi phisha, nice to meet you.
I am a married 33 year old housewife and mother of 2 children. My oldest child is autistic and almost non-verbal. At 11 years old he only says a few words clearly. My youngest is 8 years old and had a bladder problems when he was a baby which almost required him to have a kidney transplant. He is a little guy for his age, but tough as nails!
My life is filled enough to where I don't have any dreams, at least not at the moment. Maybe one day...

I am turning 50 next month, mother of 3 girls who are all grown up. My eldest is 30 and hahs just gotten married on the 4th of this month, she is now in another country with her husband. My second is turning 23 on Nov. and the youngest has just turned 15
last Thursday. I have been seperated from my husband of 16 yrs., for 15 yrs. now. I tell you it wasn't easy but i got through. On the early days of our seperation, i thought that i could not go on but i did survive together with my girls and i am happy now, though just like you i sometimes dream of being someone's significant other. I don't want to grow old alone, if i can help it. I dream of seeing my girls happily married with good husbands and successful in their own careers. You are a strong woman, i mean in your condition you still manage to take care of your daughters. I do hope that you find that significant other of yours. Good luck and take care!

I am 25 and happily married. My husband is currently in grad school at the university of maryland. We just moved to the DC area 3 weeks ago. I'm not liking it very well thus far. I'm a singer/songwriter/worship leader. I always thought my biggest dream would be to release a CD of Christian music, which I did in June of 2007. I'd like to record a new project. I've already written several new songs for a new album. I went to college for writing and religious studies, and loved it. I did that until my mom was diagnosed with cancer in 2003. I left school, and moved back home to help care for her as she recovered from surgeries. My dad is a church musician, and couldn't be home with her 24/7 like she needed. So I played nurse, and then got a job at a real estate firm to help make ends meet at home. Now my big dream is to be a mom. The kind of mom who stays home with the kids, and makes cookies and takes them to play dates.

That all sounds pretty cool...are you still in real estate? If so I'm looking for at least 100+ acres lol....but no I'm serious if you got some hook ups for land let me know...So what religion are you? I'm assuming pinocaustal(sp) that seems to be the only churches with bands lol..I'm catholic, but kind of a non follower....I just don't believe in some of the stuff, like telling the father your wrong doings and him saying ok my child go say 10 hail mary's and 5 our fathers and god will forgive you.....Thats horse crap....the way I see it...is if you are truely sorry for something you should never do it again, and then pray to him that you will never do it again. How does he know what god wants us to do? Does God email him and say oh Phelicia is gonna be coming to church today, make her say this and that! NO! The ceremonies are beautiful aand the lectures are good, but God's Forgiveness needs work.
I love being at home with my girls, I do admit it is very hard being disabled and single but I get barely by...I wish I could get bills under control and the government could get their butts in gear...but everyones too busy spending money like eatting candy....
Do you ever wonder what it would be like if the world just started living simple again? I mean just living for needs and not wants? Why does a family of 5 need 8347 bedrooms and 98234784 bathrooms? Why go to 5 star restraunts and spend 84374 on baby food pretty much when you can have more food for $1 at mcdonalds or just throw some meat potatoes, carrots, cerely into a crocpot wait a few hours and bam supper? lol.
If I with my two daughter live off of 667.00 a month why is it so hard for people to live off of 7412 a month....its because they buy too much. I have a nice apt, I have a 2007 mazda 6, I have nice clothes and good food....why can't everyone else be simple? Are they that insecure? Are they that greedy?
But before this becomes a book, I better stop lol.
Well good luck and hope you get to do that someday.

It is lovely to meet you. I am 36 years old and I have a son aged 13 years and a son aged 15 months. I live in the South West part of England. I have green eyes and fairly long straight dark brown hair. My top hobby is traveling and I have been doing that for the last 21 years. I like reading, writing, walking in the countryside and going to the coast. I enjoy caring for my two dogs and taking them out for walks. I collect costume dolls from around the world. I got pregnant in 2006 and three to four weeks before his birth I found out my son has spina bifida. He has had two operations, a shunt inside his head and he has to have a catheter every four hours. He is able to combat crawl and he has wraps put round his legs to make them straight. He needs help to stand using these and wears a special pair of shoes when he does this. I know that it was upsetting to find out your younger daughter has the same muscle disease as you. Good luck to you and your two daughters. I hope that you find your ideal husband in the future. I dream of getting a camper van and doing much more traveling. I would like to publish a novel and a travel book. I would love to have a thatched tree house. Most of all I would like to have good luck, good health and be happy.

That is such a sweet dream and I hope it comes true for you and your family. I am also very close to my sister and wish I could see her more. She lives very far away and we can't see each other but at least we invested in good long distance plans HEHE. For myself I am 32 and have three children Daughter who has just turned 13 and two sons who are 9 and 7. I work and volunteer at the boys school. I have a partner that I have been with for 12 years now. I dream of having good health happiness and financial security for my family. I am very luck though to have much of what I desire.

Kudos to you, Love!! You sound awesome. I learned in life, what doesn't kill you will make you stronger. And you are proving that. You are a strong person.
I am a 30 year old, single mother of 4. I have 2 boys and 2 girls. I have 2 parakeets, Normal and Abnormal. I am a simple person. I love Wal-Mart. I love garage sales, and puppies, and beautiful people. I am a giving person, willing to give anyone a 2nd chance. I am witty, smart alecky, and very intelligent. I have made mistakes like everyone else and I am not afraid to admit it. I am opinionated, because I think I am entitled to my own opinion. I get an attitude about things going wrong in our country. I would love to be president for 1 year, and turn things around. My dreams include a man I have loved since I was 14. I want to be his wife and do the things we always promised we would do together. I want to wake up on Christmas morning with my kids, and have a wonderful time. I want to be happy and love the fact that everyone around me is happy too. I want more kids, though I can't physically have them, but to adopt and make someones life as happy as I can. I would love to grow my hair out down to my waist again, I would love to find a cure for cancer, or at least find a way to make the lives of the sufferers easier. I think I just want to be happy......

While I was reading your post, I couldn't help myself but to take pity on you; but more than this, I've felt mixed emotions which I will explain further.
Foremost, I have to admit that this is the first time I encountered and read this type of illness or physical condition. I'm not aware of it but if my spare time would permit me, I will try to search about it later.
Second, I feel reaching out to you but not financially. I'm also a mom of a three year old girl and I've been married for more than five years now. We are currently facing a financial difficulty due to the numerous loan facilities we availed of and as a result, we are now paying them in monthly amortizations. So, I don't think I can extend any financial aid to you.
Third, if you'd be kind enough to answer these, I'm curious if this type of condition is something which is contracted on the early stages of life. I'm just wondering, "...why is it that even one of your daughters got it?" And is this hereditary? If it is, did you try to trace who had it in the first place, you or your children's father? But if you choose to be silent about this, it's okay with me.
Next, I can sense that you are a great, independent, and loving person. I am sure that you love your kids and I am including you in my prayers that hopefully, you do spend a lot of quality and happy decades with them. I also fervently wish that the Lord keeps you in his constantly loving care.
I sincerely believe that God will send you a man whom He is molding to be your perfect partner in life. Someone who will love you the way you want to be loved, and more, much more. Don't give up and have faith. Do remember that God doesn't give us trials and challenges which we cannot bear.
Personally, I've got a lot of dreams not only for myself but more for our daughter. We are still renting an apartment and I wish to have our own house and land the soonest possible time. I hope for our daughter to graduate from her preferred course in the future, eventhough she still hasn't started schooling yet. I also hope to travel many countries with my own family. Another is to have a lucrative and lawful family business which we could give to our offsprings. I'd like to bring happiness to my parents, too, because they are already in their late fifties. These are just some of my own dreams but I have more than these.
God bless and take a lot of care.

Hi Phisha! I am amazed with your optimism. Despite of your circumstances you still see the brighter side of life. I do believe and I will believe with you that someday you will see your dreams come to pass.
I am a 21-year old Filipina and I just received my college degree at the University of the Philippines Los Banos. I didn't realize that life after college would be even more complicated so here I am on vacation trying to figure out what path to take.
I always have my heart for business and to be an employee just turns me off so right now I just spend most of my time studying and researching about starting my own business. I do online jobs as well to keep my bank account from being bankrupt. lol.
What I really want to do in life is travel. I have peace that I only experience when I travel. I plan to tour across the Philippines then around Asia and eventually around the world. But my greatest dream of would be to put up my own foundation for street children that will help i their education so they would have a better future.
Unfortunately, in our country the number of street children is ever increasing and in my own little way I want to help some those kids and get them out the streets.
God bless to you and your children!

I tried to answer your question about who I am. but suddenly feel there's so much to say, in various dimensions. Thinks vivid on my mind are difficult to describe. Things I can simple tell are not worth talking about. Life is just so simple or so complicated, from time to time.

Hi phisha. You have just started a thread for beautiful, happy and nice people to reply. I added mostly the women who replied here as my friends.
I am 35, mother of two small boys (1 and 2) and wife of a wonderful man. We live a simple life, and have simple dreams. we have just moved to my husband's country six months ago after living for four years in my country. We decided that economy here is better and we would be able to provide well for the needs of our boys. However, we plan to go back to my country once we are able to save enough to start a business there. Life is quite difficult for me here and even my husband saw that and thinks that my country is a better place to live compared to his. We are just here for economic reasons. But despite all that, i still feel so blessed - withtwo bundles of joy. They are quite a handful, but they are my source of strength. I love them to pieces.
I can see that you are a dreamer and quite a writer. I wish you all the best. I believe that you will soon meet the man of your dreams. The journey into my dreams was not easy - have had lots of heart aches before i met the man of my dreams and built this wonderful, happy family with him. But it is all worth it.
Hugs and kisses to you and your beautiful girls.

Nice to meet you. I noticed that we have the same number of posts. How long have you been in mylot? I'm just on my third day.
Anyway, I am 29 years old, married to a wonderful man and mother to a 9-month old baby girl. I have been working in a television network with my husband for more than 5 years now. I love cooking and I'm into making accessories. I used to be a wedding planner as well. I did that for 2 years until I decided to stop and focus on having a child. My husband and I were married for 3 years before I became pregnant. We had a hard time conceiving because of the stress of my day job and my weekend job as a wedding planner. We recently moved to our new apartment and I'm trying hard to do a good job in being a mother and a wife. Someday, I'd like for us to build our dream house and have a comfortable life with my family.
