As an employees and workers we do all have bosses or supervisors that looks upon us, guard us or dictates something to us. It maybe in a form of order, cascading or simply giving instructions. Knowing these people, the majority of the individuals who are workers are somehow have this hate to their bosses in anyway, it may be for a small thing or big. We always have something to say and complain about them. Why does this always happen? What is the theory behind it? Based from experience, I never hated my bosses but there is always a small grudge that I feel towards them. Maybe because of their style in execution or giving instruction or simply because I just know better.
Currently, I like my boss but when it comes to work matters I feel like I know better than her. Though that doesn't make her any lesser. I still do respect her as the higher authority than me. I just don't know how I feel this way. Maybe because I came from a venture that I am my own boss which means I own the establishment. So, you, as an employee or simply a person who is under someone that is higher in position, do you love your boss?

I love our CEO. He have been the nicest boss a person can ever have. He is sort of like our big daddy at work. He cares and loves his employees and wants the best for them. The Sales Director is ok but he doesn't smile and really is strict looking. I heard he is a military officer. I heard him one time asking my manager who was late to give him 10 push ups...lol..but she didn't do it of course. I have issues with the managers though..There are those loud noisy ones that kinda irritates me..those who got their positions in their head much. I don't like those ones. They don't act professional and really ain't helping us out with their noises and being bossy...other than that though I love my company and this is the best one I have got.

Yeah mostly the managers ore the one that is not on the top level are the ones who is irritating and bossy. Sometimes, their style of managing are out of place and just being egotistical. Thanks, nice avatar and nice name. Happy posting.

As a rule, I do not start out disliking my boss. I show them the utmost respect like I would show anyone. It seems that as of lately I have been having very intolerate bosses. Those which pressure their employees, (me) and let the other's slide on by. My last boss was so nasty towards me, I would pass her in the morning, and say good morning, and she wouldn't even open her mouth. But go to another employee and stand there and hold a personal conversation for a half hour. I do not know what her problem against me was but she could be very nasty.

Wow that is certainly annoying. I can never imagine working with a boss like that. If I were you, just stopped greeting her good morning instead just walk pass by her and as if she does not exist. Don't let her get into your nerves. Thanks and keep em' posted.

I'm not claiming to be an expert on psychology but in my psych 101 class we talked about roles and schema. When someone is promoted to being a boss, it is human nature for them to become, well, bossy. It's like the Stanford prison experiment if anyone is familiar with it. People were asked to be either guards or prisoners in a mock prison. Instantly the guards gained a sense of entitlement and aggression while the prisoners developed a sense of hopelessness. We conform to the roles that are given to us, therefore the boss will feel more entitled and will hold himself above his employees while the same employees will show resentment towards him simply because he is their boss and nobody likes being told what to do. The reason nobody likes their boss could possibly be because it's simply human nature to not like bosses.

Do you love your boss? I don't know may be sometime I love sometime I hate.
Love because he teach me something that will be useful for my work.
Hate because he just don't mind your heart just scold you in front of your friends.
Well, boss always want to be the top and always control staff. That's is natural. If not you be the bosslah.

I have had a good number of bosses that I have truly liked and looked up to. Working in the medical field, you know that if they've made it up the ladder that far, to be a boss, it does mean something. And I have learned from everyone of them. I do like being able to express my opinion, and the ones that I have liked are the ones that allow that freely. It doesn't make me seem like I am trying to be better than them, only trying to brainstorm and throw new ideas out to make better situations. I think I've disliked the ones that don't want that kind of input.

What you say is true and it's really interesting find out why most bosses are unpopular among the subordinates. Bosses are getting presure from their bosses and they have to be tough on their subordinates to get the work done. I think this is the reason for that.
Some bosses are afraid that their subbordinates get highligted than them. This is also a reason for bosses to be dictative and hated. What so ever the subordinates will have to work or leave. There is a saying that employees join the organisations and leave bosses.
I have worked under many bosses and some are good some are neutral and some had been bad to worst.

My boss is the best boss. I think if we all just did our job and minded our own affairs that we wouldn't have to worry about him or her breathing down our neck. My boss is all about facts...no BS and she's a very smart woman and I wish I could be more like her. She's awesome.

That's a one of a kind boss. In fact that is what makes a good leader, to set good example and to inspire their employees to work hard and to perform better. You are lucky to work with her. Thanks. Happy posting.

Because you became a boss a couple of times so you have comparisons in terms of people management and execution. you are born to be a boss and not to be a a typical/plain employee. you have the talent and better leadership style than of your previous bosses and current boss.
i never loved any of my bosses in my past jobs so i always resign or gone AWOL after a couple of months. Perhaps,i did not like their way of managing people because they are too domineering and others are abusing their power towards their employees.
Except for my boss with my present job who is very comfortable to work with that's why i stayed in my company for almost two years now, all she wanted from us is to do our task and be responsible for the outcome. She's open changes and listens to our ideas not just her own judgements or opinions. She also shares her knowledge and she never leaves you hanging if something gets wrong. That's why i love her not just my boss but my mentor as well... thanks Ma'am Sash you're the best "school of Sasha rules"

Personally, I don't hate my boss... I just don't agree with the way she manages our department. I believe that she doesn't respond to the matters and or problems of our department the way her position should respond to it. But even if that is the case, I still do my job and do what is right. After all, I work for the betterment of the institution.

There are many who wouldnt like their boss, its a thing that is accepted. In the workplace there are many different characters, and its like a huge melting pot,the only thing is that not everything melts, and there are many different personalities that clash. There is always an occasion for resentment and its normal in the workplace. There will always be times when we think we know better than our bosses, times we think we have better ideas than our bosses have ,but that is life and we just have to contend with it,we cant all be bosses.

I actually have the greatest boss anyone could ask for. He is very laid back and kind & fair. He is quick with compliments and also has a great sense of humor. I have seen him be firm with certain employees but only if they take advantage of his good nature and start slacking etc. I have worked for some really tough bosses and I count my blessings with this one. I really have not one bad thing to say about him.

well for this matter, it depends who you's your boss and how is your relation with that person as your boss and as a person outside the office. well the "grudge" will always be there for the mere fact of the position that he/she has and the role that you play as a subordinate. everyone will have that grudge because there are things that you want to go your way but you know you cant coz you are not the boss :)

i don't like my boss at all.
rules are made by people, they can be good and bad, that depends on boss.
in my area, bosses are arrogant, persnickety, low diploma.
the situation here is that human flow is frequentent, bosses can hard to look for good staffs, common staffs can hard to find a good job.
