If there was one key piece of advice, or phrase you would like your children to remember, what would it be?
For example - The excesses of youth are a downpayment on old age
Everything in moderation
Never a borrower or a lender be
Any better ones?

I love you! That is the peice of advice that I always want my kids to remember. Even if I am mad at them or if we are not agreeing on a subject I want them to know that I love them. I believe that they need to learn to live one day at a time but also know that whatever they do, I will love them.

I'd say 'make hay while the sun shines'. Children have to learn as much as possible while they are young and energetic. What they learn during childhood remains forever. Its easier to bend the stem of a growing plant instead of the trunk of a fully grown tree.
