I Was In 8th Standard And My Teacher Slapped Me For Coming Late To School ?

That was back in the day a long time ago. I don't think teachers are allowed nowadays to do that since they can get fired or even go to jail. As for me, luckily, I never got beaten by any teacher. Actually most of the teachers I had when I was in school were very cool. Friendly and treated most of the kids with respect. I think it's also because times have changed and the point of view of the teachers have changed. The way they behave towards children have changed and they are now more conscious about how their actions can bounce back in the shaping of the attitude of the children when they are at such a young age. Something like that xD.

hi ganesh when i was 10, i was moved to "A" class because i was smart student but there was this teacher i dont know why she like to pick on me ... everyday she will beat me and throw my book because she said my writing was horrible and ugly ... she used to ask me to write the material over and over ... then i stopped submitting my works to her because i was tired of her beating .. one day she called me upfront of the class and beat my hand then she sent me to the headmistress office .. there the headmistress asked me to select between calling my parents or hit my backside ... i said to hit me ... she did ... i went home queitly and could not sit for days ... never told my parents until today ... i purposly failed all my exams on that year and went to the "B" class... there i did my exams better than the "A" Class students I actually know why ... i was the only Indian Student in the class at that time and i was not from the rich family background. The other students there were all either, lawyers , teachers or doctors children cheers

yes right I do not support beating kids ,but your teaches were successful ,they did what they wanted ,as you still remembering those days ,it was a mistake from your side also,so no issues.

that is really mean of your PT teacher... he should not had done it to you... yes, you make a mistake for being late... but isn't every children had ever been late to school as well??? i won't accept it at all if my teacher slaps me just because i am late for school... i will make sure that he is being punished and lost his job... take care and have a nice day...

ganesh no matter what you did that you think deserved to be slapped ,slapping is utterly wrong, no teacher shouldever slap a child for anything, that is not her place at all. nor should you think that that is an appropriate way to disipline an unruly child. I dont know where you are, but here in the USA we do not slap students, we send them to the principal who talks to them. we do not do corporal punishment here. I was once just once hit on the back of my fingers with a ruler as my penmanship teacher did not like my ms.my dad had a talk with that teacher,and they dont hit kids on the hands with rulers that cut the flesh again.

I know that if my teacher would of slapped me i would of gotten so mad and slapped he/she back. If he/she didn't have respect for you then dont have any for them.

For starters do not blame yourself for being late as your teacher was in the wrong . No one deserves to be slapped and definitley not across the face !! HOw would the the teacher have felt is she was late for some reason and she was slapped across the face ? Anybody can be late it doesn't warrant a slap across the face !! In my country it is illegal for a teacher to slap a child or inflict any kind of hard to a child , they would lose their job so fast in a situation like this . I don't believe anyone has the right to slap my children for any reason at all . I don't believe in hitting a child for that matter , I don't believe in hitting anyone . If one has a problem for whatever reason , there are better ways to handle a situation without inflicting physical pain to one .

I am a primary school teacher and I know that it would be illegal for me to slap or hit a child at school. For many years violet punishment has been illegal in my home country. If a teacher slapped a child they would be fired straight away. When I was a teenager violent punishment was legal. The teachers were not allowed to hit the students. But if one was very bad he or she could sent them to the head master. He was able to hit with a cane and he only did that to students that had been really very naughty indeed. Most of the time naughty students had detention. I am very sorry to hear that your teacher slapped you and he or she did misuse their power. Staff meetings can get heated sometimes people don't hit each other. My friend forgot her tennis shoes so she had to go on the court with out any footwear. Her feet got cut and sore. The PE teachers could be mean and nasty.

I remember when my 3rd grade teacher made me kneel infront of the class because i came late from recess... and it was so embarassing... and painful too... those were the days... But today... teachers are no longer allowed to do that... or else they will be facing a lot of complains, problems... and even jail time for child abuse... so if a teacher would do slap or lift a finger on my daughter... i wouldn't have second thought of reporting him or her to the police...

Hi Ganesh44, No it was not your fault for been slap by a teacher, not one has the right to slap you, disciplaine you yes, but not slap you, you teacher had a problem its called bullying and you should have reported the teacher and you are not to blame, so never say its your fault it not. Wow, it's another form bout violence in school i think, if you tell this to your parents i'm sure they will get mad with your PT Teacher, he can kick out from the school because of doing this you know ... It's true that you are wrong when you late at school, but i think its acceptable reason because you are eating your breakfast as a human being, i just don't get it with your PT Teacher probs here, why he must slapping you? It's not a funny thing for me, it's a serious problem! He slapp his student for eating breakfast and coming late to school, what about with his own children in his house? Or what about his child is getting slapp by another teacher in their own school, did he can accept it??

i really feel like laughing on your discussion, hey dont mistake me its due to you reminded my schooling too. i really can understand how we feel when it happens front of all our friends. i just remembered an incident happened with me of going late to my school which i would like to share with you and you will laugh on it. my school prayers where at 9.30 morning and as usual i went to my school at 9.15 but as i reached at the gate of my school i find there is no one and all sitting in their classes, as i enter the gate i could cross my headmistress room and she saw me entering and she called me and she asked me why i came late at 10.15 and i told her in my house wallclock it was 9.15 which had become slow and i could not make out and she started laughing at me and it was really a funny mistake by me. i really tell you your post just reminded me my schooling.

I don't think that teachers should slap their students. But that depends entirely on what you custom or culture teaches you. Back in the old days, yes we did get our share of ear pulling and slaps or even hard spanking. But these days, I guess the teachers in the city where I live try not to be so brutal or they will face child abuse raps. hehehe. I mean in the modern world I know some will disagree with me, there are none violent means of discipline. Lol.Cheers!!!

In my country it is illegal for a teacher to slap a child. If a teacher did it then he or she would be fired and then she would have legal troubles. I have never been beat up by anyone and never a teacher.And never for somethign as small as being late.
