From place to place I have noticed that there are things that are different in the way we are used to things and the benefits that one country may have over another . What are some things you have noticed that are different about your country then say somewhere else ? Just from being on here I have noticed that some people have to pay for their medicare while in our country this is free , another thing I have noticed is that in some counrties having a live in nanny seems to be a part of the norm where in our country this is unheard of unless one is rich . What is it like in your country that you have noticed was different from other countries ?

The one big thing I see about the USA that many other countries don't have is freedom of speech. But I also see other countries have a custom of elder honor more so than we have in this country.

There are a lot I think as here in my country we have so many different traits, for one, they say that only here in my country that when a visitor came up during meal time, the home owners would ask the visitor to join in the meal. another one is I think it is only here where elderlies were treated (I was a bout to say respect but then again it was a very relative term) differently, like when you see an old relative, you took out his or her hands and put it in your fore head, and when you talk with them we use the word po and opo, I really don't know what is the English word but says it is a sign of respect here, relative to my country of course. there are more things, I think we are one of the few who eats animal blood (cooked of course). Another one is our urban legends were very rich. WE have aswangs (a woman who is half and has wings, her half bode, the lower part was left in the house) we have dwarfs, giants and all in our old stories. And there are a lot more but for now, those are the things I can think of.

We have one of the best health care plans in the world, here in Canada. I love that my health care is paid for, and no matter what a person's financial situation, they will receive the proper healthcare. I also love the freedom, and wide open space there is in Canada. We're not crowded together like sardines in a can. You can drive for two whole days, and still be in Ontario.

[i]Hi sam,IN our Country, People can afford to have helpers at home even if they are just average, not very rich and some have personal driver and it is easy for us to have public transportation, we can get them everywhere unlike here, we need to go to a particular station.. ANother thing is in our Country, Families are very close to each other, some kids who are married lives with parents and siblings but I don't see that here! In our Country also, we can always asked anyone in the family to babysit for free for our kids if we have work not common here, not all the family would love to do it here..LOL!ANd during fiesta, we feed people who will come over even if we don't know them, some are not invited but when it is fiesta, everyone is welcome, it is not rude for us!
