I feel like I've tried just about every drugstore foundation out there. I've used the liquids, cremes, powders, minerals, you name it. I still haven't found the one that I can say is perfect. Are department store foundations really better than the drugstore brands? I really don't want to have to pay a ton of money for something that might not work. What are your favorites types and brands of foundation that you use?

I'm not necessarily having any problems with it. I just don't have one foundation that I can say I love. I like the liquid kinds to cover my pores. However, in the summer my foundation seems to slide off my face and makes my complexion shiny. So I was using mineral foundation which handled the shine but didn't cover the pores well. I've used shine free foundations before, no difference. Also I would like to find a foundation that makes me look just made up all day long and not for the first 2 hours after wearing it. Any suggestions?

I like the L'oreal Tru Match brand- it covers light to medium and it also works well with your skin tone. Costs around $8-10 a bottle depending on where you buy it.

I prefer to use liquid, so that it doesn't clog up the pores on my face. Creme does that to me. I have used Estee Lauder and Averine - both are good; looks smooth.
I've tried a matte mousse - I think it's Maybelline - it's sort of between creme and powder, but it's rather good. Easy to apply and dries fast.

I prefer the liquid too for better coverage. I never heard of Averine before. I too have the Maybelline mouse foundation, I like it but sometimes I feel it makes me look tired as the day goes on. I've heard of some people saying that the matte foundations do the same thing to their skin.

I think Revlon foundation is the best. I don't know it's bit expensive in my country. I always use the stick. When you are using it you always have to mix two colours or sometimes 3 colours and mix it according to your skin colour. If you are a fair person then you have to use a lighter shade with bit of yellow colour. If you are a dark in complection you have to mix a dark shade with bit of yellow colour. It goes like that. If you are a tanned person you may have to mix all 3 colours and get the colour you want. Most of the ladies do the mistake of buying what ever they see and they do not know how to apply them. If you use one colour when you apply it you will look awful.

The one that I found that I just love is from Avon. It's called BeComing redefined. It gives my skin the flawless look and airbrush look. It's awesome. You might want to check into it and see if you can find someone that sells Avon near you. It's not that expensive either..and lasts a while!

I actually have an Avon lady and order from her every now and then. I'll have to check into the BeComing. The only foundation I have ever tried from Avon was their mineral foundation. I like the concept of the minerals but they are way too messy and don't cover my large pores well. Thanks for your input!
