Ok, My Feelings Are Hurt By A MyLotter!

i think you should remember that its just an online discussion. if they have to resort to name calling, they probably dont have anything intellectual to say and aren't worth the effort of the fight.

Hi G I think we have some same, Just like you I prefer respons them with mine. For me, no matter about false or right, because we've being here is making oppinion in a community with so many culture. They should know that we here, and each of us have an oppinion that maybe pro or contra. Here we learn about something, about each other, growing and maturing together. finally I believe that respect is not must shown with a positive respons. Keep be your self. best regard

Well, I think sometimes many people speak here without stopping to think about the consequences, and then sometimes unless they have the same thing done to them and they are often hurt as well, it makes no real difference. The main problem sometimes is we do have our differences in opinions and sometimes some people in here are so biased they just feel their opinion is all that matters here. All I can say, is I would just ignore them as you are choosing to do, and continue to enjoy being here. myLot for me is still one of the best places to be, and having people on here like you are what keep it so as well.

I too have been called a lot of things because I'm a Dem. I just kind of laugh at them and I tell them that they're funny. It's funny the only intelligent thing they can call me is a brainwashed liberal. I mean, really, if you can't be an adult then I don't think you should have the right to vote let alone be allowed to post things on the internet.

Welcome to mylot politics . I have been called stupid, liar, ignorant ect ect. All because someone didn't agree with my views on politics. It's all pretty stupid to call someone names because you don't agree with them. I have seen members tell other members not to respond to their discussions anymore, I thought this was a forum?!

I have experience that one too but i just let it go. I dont wanna stoop down to there level. And i feel it is a waste of time arguing with them. In the first place i am here to have fun. If they cant respect my point of view so be it. We cant avoid narrow minded people so the best thing to do is ignore them. You know yourself better and you are entitled to your own opinion. I know other people can be a pain sometimes. But don't let it get into you. I have been offended by some mylotters in the past but I don't remember being a victim of name-calling though, thank God for that. I have always been careful with my responses too. But knowing that we cannot please everybody here, that we sometimes don't get along with our own ideas and opinions, I just make sure I watch my words and my way of delivering my responses. I never wanted to insult anybody. I hope you'll just let it pass though and shrug it off. If the mylotter is low enough to insult you, then he/she doesn't deserve much attention from you. I think if you were a republican then it would be okay to call you names but as a Democrat, now that is just plain silly.

gwoman hi no you do have aright to be upset. we are all 'adults here and we should respect that we each have a right to our own opinion and we should respect each others opinions and not call each other names. that belongs in the'grad school playground. I was called to task because I protested a mylotter being called stupid for being a democrat, as this other mylotter said the poster had a right to her opinion,her opinion being that the democrat poster was stupid. give me a'break . In my lots own rules it clearly states we do not name call or flame someone just because their opinion did not match our own.So dont let that keep you from having fun here.

I do not think it is right to abuse anyone especially on subjects like politics or religion. There is no need to insult anyone on mylot. That is not what discussions are about. They are for putting your opinion. I would ask for an apology and if you do not get one just keep away from that persons discussions in future.

Maybe you should be a little bit more thick skinned. It really doesnt matter at the end of the day what someone online thinks or says of you. You know who you really are. The person who made the comment, probably hasnt thought once about it and here it is bothering you. Some people will not apologize for hurting others feelings....just put it in a bubble and let it go.

Yea, well i posted "have you ever thought about contraception" on a thread about how many people live in your house and some dizzy idiot woman started to attack me for it saying that i shouldnt be allowed to reproduce!!! I didnt think what i said was offensive but obviously this idiot felt threatened by the comment!!? Maybe she just finds it hard to keep her legs closed?

I don't think you are wrong to feel hurt by it at all. When I first started mylot I had run in with a guy under the money making category and he had said somethings that were rude to me but he found them to be a big joke. See I make just bout all my money on the internet I have a one year old son that is sick most of the time and I'm also a single mom so I can't just sit here all day and not do anything. He posted something like "I know how all you can make a guaranteed 300 to 400 dollars a week get off your butts and quit trying to make money online and go out and get a real job" well that ticked me off my face got red and I knew that it was going to be on lol. I immediately sent him a message back telling him how I felt about the situation and that I didn't agree with it. Whether it be a joke or not you can't say something like that you don't know other peoples situations and things might bother them that dont bother you so its kind of a give and take. there are some mylotters that don't get it and need to think of others befor they post things. As far as you being upset you have the right to be!

Better late than never , atleast you had the heart to ask for apology , thats really great and then dont feel for it anymore , im sure that that person would have forgiven you for sure , in place like mylot we all must understand onething , that there are people not only from different places but also they are having different opinions which can be shared , so we have the rights to share our opinions only! good decision for you , that your not quitting this wonderful place.. As long as you ask an apology to that mylotter, then it is fine. Sometimes we need to know our limits too because like what you have said we do have our own point in each discussions. If you are againts with it, just show what's your point in a well manner way. Just don't hit someone below the belt. Hope you feel better about that! Keep posting!

Hi friend,Even if we dont agree with others opinion whats the necessity to hurt others feelings and get hurt.Each and everyone has their own opinions.We cant force our opinions on others.If I feel hurt by others comment I just tell them that its my opinion and am not offending others.We come here to mylot only for discussions and express our own feelings and opinions.Then whats the need to hurt others when sharing views and opinions.Just ignore your hurt feelings and keep mylotting.thanks for sharing.happy mylotting.

As you said there's a lot of differing opinions here at mylot so don't be too hurt. If you want to do something a bout it, I suggest you tell him or her how you feel, explain, and ask him or her to apologize. If he or she doesn't apologize then just be the better person and forget about it. Anyway, being called a hypocrite doesn't make you one.
