it depends, for me. normally, the most i'll read is five pages. after that, i hit the answer this discussion button and proceed to type my own response. it gets tiring after a while, reading post after post, especially if they say basically the same thing. hee hee. but one time, i was very interested in a topic that i found myself reading until the last page (there were eight pages of them, i think).
it eats up time, but its fun to see how other people react to situations posed by discussions. and anyways, i'm not after the number of posts i make in a day. yes, i dream of reaching 1000+ posts, but i am in no hurry to get there
so how about you? do you read all previous answers before posting your own?

You make 1000+ posts soon if your pretty active here at mylot , it is no wonder or something which is not reachable , for me i did it easily i can say ! i wasn't active though if i was i would have reached 10,000+ lol :) and yea i do read replies if the topic is attracting , if not i just make glance at all the responses and give my reply there.. that will though take a lot of time to do , but i like to know others views

when the connection was still good, i spend five hours or more in here everyday but the connection is down at the moment so i do not get the chance to participate everyday. anyways, i'm more of a discussion starter than an answerer of other people's discussions, which explains the unnaturally low number of posts beside my name even after two months of being a member here

Honestly No! I look search for an interesting topic or for a topic in which I have got something to contribute! I like to answer the light topics also, as I feel bit relaxed while doing so and feel relieved of stress! I do have some ideas and opinions about the topic which I want to share, so I without reading other answers putforth my ideas and after getting the answer posted I read a few answers before checking my posted answer ! I know this is not proper way of doing! But let me admit that this is the way I do it ! Thanks!

hee hee. there is no one proper way of going about at myLot. if it works for you, then nobody can tell you what and what not to do, right?

For me, a lot of the time it depends on the discussion and such as well. Usually I will read like the first page or two if it is something of importance to see if there are people on here I can agree with, and will even relate to that in my response as well. Because there are times in here when someone will respond back to a discussion you can tell did not take time to read the others discussions and usually could have avoided some of the things they said in their response as well if they would have.

how right you are. when i respond to posts made on my own discussions, its very tiring to type the same comment over and over again when several people ask the same question, so obviously they did not take the time to read all the others before them. so it's out of consideration to the poster of the discussion that i read till page five so that i can lessen the chance of asking a similar question or post a similar answer

it depends... if that discussion only has few responses, then i will... but if it has over 10 pages of responses, then i won't... i just don't have enough time to do that... but sometimes it is really fun to read other people's responses... take care and have a nice day...

well, sometimes, it depends.. If I am in a mood then I will read their answers but if I don't then I will just read the discussion then I answer my own discussion.. It really takes time for me if I will still read the answer of others especially if I only have few minutes here in mylot.. And most of all, I'm really lazy reading..

Not anymore. I used to do that when I was a newbie here because I don't want to duplicate any answer. But I noticed that a lot of answers are duplicated. What I mean is the thought is the same. So I said to myself, instead of wasting time reading all the responses first, I respond then read some of the answers.

Usually after reading the content of the discussion ,I think for while and write down my opnions directly.I think it more important to show what you think ,and share your expressions with others .After typing my words ,I will read what others hold about the topic.Well ,sometimes it is really surprisingly happy to find some of mylotters hold the completely same opnions with you.Thank you!

most times i like to read all parts of the discussion before offering my response its always better that way as i can give and objective and reasonable answer,if its a long post and i cant read it i usually leave it till when am more relaxed

no i dont read other responses and it is very rare that i read all but most of the times i dont read the responses and i just i respond first , put all the ideas what i get and then may be i have a look at the responses. and morever i think if i read other responses i would get confused and would mix up with my ideas and thoughts which i want to write and i feel it is always better that first i answer the discussion and then read and go through the responses. most of the times i will be in a hurry and i just want to utilise my time and finish doing mylot and hence it might also be the reason why i dont read all responses.

Yes i do read all the response of the other people before i response the discussions cause i think that there are some response that might same with my idea for response in the topic so after i read some of the response, i post mine and then change some of my idea if there is same with mine.

this depends on the topic of discussion
if the matter is very sensitive, then i see how others have responded
and if its fun
i write what i feel
sometimes its very nice to read the responses and know how the other people have responded, what are their views regarding the matter
and if its regarding money making and stuffs like that
i see all the responses to know is there any new information

I read first the discussion but if it is too long for me to read i usually right away read the question then post my answer base on the question. I dont read previous answers i only read the content of the discussion then right away post my view.

Yes I do read other posts as I like to see how other people respond but sometimes there are so many and I want to post my response before I forget what it is. I have memory problems and if I do not write it down I forget so easily. Once I have posted I will often go through the other posts depending on the discussion and how many there are.
I try and post about 10+ posts a day as this site helps me keep my mind active and it needs the exercise. I also find it a lot of fun. Sometimes I will not post a response if someone else has already said what I was going to.

It depends. If the discussion has around 5-6 pages of responses, then I skip reading all of them. I think that is quite unnecessary. Usually if the discussions have 2-3 pages of responses, then I go ahead and read up on them and only if it's an interesting discussion where I can benefit from reading all the responses. I just go on responding, without wasting anytime.

Truthfully,
I just "skim" through the answers before mine and try not to repeat
something that others have said. Often I do though, just because many
of us think alike.
Maybe we all say the same things at times and just do it a different way?

I don't always read all responses. Sometimes they can be a bit long and sometimes I'm just not interested.

i try to read every post in a topic that i want to reply. but I just stop if the sense of the message is already repeating. i just hit the response button and start my own response. then after i posted it, i try to read the other posts above me. take care. stay active
