Sometimes when I am depressed- I am more of a silent person. After work, I'll go into my room and hide and not come out until I have to go back the next day.. and if you knock on my door I won't answer. I have been going through this all my life, but a journal really seems like a good idea. Think I will try that to let out my feelings. I heard some people can get ulcers from not letting their feelings out.

I've always kept a journal as well, sometimes it very relieving and relaxing just to get things off my chest/my mind and on to a piece of paper. It helps me get a clear perspective of what's going on...and helps me move on.

Are you an expressive person, the feeling to let other people know your deeper thoughts. For some people, they are having trouble for doing such. I guess, they are not comfortable of doing so.

Hi friend. It's a good thing you put into writing all your troubles and depressions. AS for me, I'm the kind who goes to video games to relieve my depression and pent-up emotions. I've found this therapy better than beating up someone else (LOL).

I suffer from clinical depression and have to deal with it on a regular basis so I suppose I am pretty expressionless because I need to keep a calm and cool face in front of others just to get through the day. There are days though when I am very expressive and extremly happy, but that is followed by saddness and then I want to be alone, those days are rare for me now (manic days were mostly in my teen years). So now that I have a handle on my depression, I can keep my emotions in check, and if I can't then I just excuse myself for awhile and go where I can be alone in order to get a handle on my emotions.

I went through a spell where I suffered from depression. I was on medications for it for a long time. I got to a point where I stopped the meds and did things that made me feel better. During that time I was quiet. I cried at times but I found I was mostly quiet. The worst part was having friends and family who didn't understand and gave me grief about it.

Well even i was same, but later i realised crying over problems is not going to make any change. Rather, i decided to fight against problems and now i feel great.

I sometimes tell people that I am deprssed. Other times I just kind of keep it to myself. It really depends on my mood at the time and whether or not I feel like talking about it. I guess that other people get depressed but I think that people cope with it differently.
