People, in such a modern life, with the increasing tempo where everyone's feet have been speeded up, have to find different ways to relax their tired bodies and souls, since we, gererally, have a higher premium on health especially with the better income. However, life seems to be a litte harder for reasons! I guess you must have different ways of escaping the stres and difficulties of modern life. Some read; some exercise; others work in their garderns. For me, no matter how many tons of comfort food I eat, I won't get fat. Thus eating is my great stragedy to reduce stress. What do you think are the best ways of reducing stress?

there are a lot of this to reduce stress.. try to have a positive attitude and a happy disposition that's really helpful than thinking that life is unfair, that your fat and ugly and your boss is a giving you a hard time and all those kind things.. they make you feel low and increase stress!! feel happy and beautiful and if you have time, go to the beach enjoy the sun and sand and the nature..appreciate life and forget about the things that makes you stressful!

I listen to music and surf silly sites to cut stress. Unlike you, I gain weight if I so much type the word food. (Whoops, gained ten pounds!)

I love to snack to. I love to watch a favorite movie or call an old friend. I write or post. I'll take a class or do an activity that I enjoy. I'll do some retail therapy but not much (as I don't have a lot of money).

I think writing also helps me a lot. Whenever I feel upset or face something unfair, I will resort to write. By doing this, I can not only tell the whole world some unfair or awesome things, but also I am learning while writing.

I love massages! and also watching comedies! but I think the best way is to find out what's really stressing you out and taking the courage to face them head on. Because some tactics are just there to distract you and once ttheir effect fades, you'll get stressed again.

Yeah, it is more reasonable to take radical measures. On the other hand, weather someone is depressed is up to themselves. No one will be permanently depressed.

Whenever there is stress then I stop for 15 minutes, sit quietly in a place and try to focus on my breath and try not to think any thing, that is make my head free of thought. That technique makes me fresh and then again I go back to the work I was doing. Such small breaks are very efficient in removing the stress.

I wish eating could be my stress reliever, but alas my body will not allow that. I find that taking a walk with my dog helps me clear my head. Getting fresh air, especially walking at night (I do take into consideration safety), helps me calm down and fall asleep easier. Before my back got worse I did yoga and it helped me immensely.

Laughter is the best medicine to make all your stress gone. If you know how to laugh at your problem then you will be stress free. If you know how to handle pressure and problems and spend time for yourself to relax and not think so much about things all the time you will find contentment and happiness in your life. There is always problem and there is always more work to do everyday. So why bother taking it too seriously if you knew you have to deal with it anyway? having a positive outlook in life and find time to relax is the best way of getting rid of stress.

My way of handling stress is to just, think over the problem, if it is something which is within my control, then great, I'll solve it then! If it is beyond my control (as in whatever I do, I am not going to make the thing any better), I would just think through it once, then just do something else and try to forget about the problem. No point stressing over things which you can't control.

The best way to reduce stress is in INDIA , indians practise an exercise called PRANAYAM - its a very simple exercise all you need to do is just sit in an open air close your eyes and deeply inhale and exhale for 5 mins... Beleive me it works .. Another strategy is just drink a chilled glass of water slowly and feel the chill in your throat untill it brings cold feeling in your stomach.

i always try to rest for sometime and then listen to music, watch some comedy movies or just go around somewhere for an outing and i feel this many things works for me and i like to do it. stress is really straining and it is required for me to get relief of it as i will not be able to further do my work and i cant concentrate on anything what i need to do and i feel so bored that my mood becomes upset too sometimes. so i try these methods for myself and i feel relaxed from this.

Find an activity that let you escape from the world of anxiety for a while... that could be jogging, walking, playing games that you like yourself to indulge in, talking to friends, your girlfriend/boyfriend, your spouse, go on a date, go see a movie... well u get my point also, keep things in perspective. Meaning you should never out do yourself. don't exhaust yourself with work and work alone. Always keep sometime for yourself to relax and reflect back on yourself. and if life gets way too stressed and unbearable, take a vacation!

Since you have friends, the troubles will cut into half while the happiness will be doubled. It is awesome to have friends' company!

For me exercise is the best way of relieving stress and calming me down. I normally find the more stressed I am the harder I work out which in turn leads to fat burning and weight loss. Have also heard exercise releases a feel good chemical in the body which helps boast ourselves mentally. Although this method works for me for many it may be a chore. So an alternative way might be to take up a hobby you enjoy like sewing or making cards, crafting...even gardening as you mentioned in your discussion. There are so many ways to help de-stress nowadays it's just finding the right one. Boxing would also be a good stress releaser as you can really take out all that anger and pent up frustration on a punchbag. Or you could always just go for the instant release travel to an open area and scream your lungs out. In the real world though perhaps we could also consider organisation. After all if people were more organized perhaps they would have less to worry about thus meaning less stress.

Boxing? Oh, I have never thought about it. Anyway, it is actually a good way to vent one's anger! lol Have a great day!

Yeah, listenning to the music is awesome anyway. This is the reason that music is great. When I feel worried, someone may feel worse. Thus, I coundn't share my worry but my happiness with someone. Have a great day
