every company varies in giving out salaries to employees. i'm a freelancer, and i receive my salary every 1st and the 15th of the month, so that's twice a month that i receive my salary. i used to be employed and also receive my salary twice a month, but during the 5th and the 20th. my mom works for a local government unit, and she receives it every week, so four times a month. how about you? how often do you receive it? once, twice or four times a month?

I receive my salary on weekly basis. But I had experienced receiving my salary on the 15th and the last day of the month and its hard to budget my money for that long intervals. Now I can budget more my money for weekly basis. And I can still save more for the whole month.

i wish we were paid on a weekly basis too. my first job paid every friday, and back then it was very easy to budget my money. but right now that i am paid only twice a month, i find it hard to fit everything on the family budget. or maybe it's because we have so much expenses on our hands right now

I recieve my payment weekly I work for a company working 3rd shift. I am a mchine operator doing injection molding ( plastics ). I work a 40 hour week. I also get my second payment from here at MyLot which is on the 15th of every month. I am happy with what ever way I get my money as long as I get it.

Every 2 weeks.
I had 1 job were we got paid every week and we could take a draw on our days pay for half of it.
So if you got paid $80 a day, at the end of your shift you could take a draw for $40.
On payday we never had a good check.

don't you find it hard to budget with a once a month payout? i have a hard time keeping up with the expenses with twice a month, i prefer it to be on a weekly basis. but i guess it's just a matter of knowing how to budget very well, which i think is not one of my strengths but good for you, if you are able to budget wisely

hello kayedanda,
Happy to say that I've been working in my first job -23 years, up to the present. It's a private company and I'm receiving my salary every twice a month and that is every 15th and 30/31st of the month. But, if the payday falls during weekend they will give it earlier.

Hello kaye,
There is a saying 'bloom where you are planted' and I think that's what I have done. It's a hate and love situation but my family keep me rooted on the ground. It's the family that keep me loving my work. The pay is good and I was able to travel outside the country. I was able to buy a lot and build a house and now able to send my children to college. I hope I can get enough pension when it's my time to leave the company.
Regards.

wow. 23 years? i am guessing you love your job so much, reason why you have managed to stay that long. i've had four jobs ever since my first as a proofreader, but i think i am going to stick to my present one for sometime because it pays well and it really helps to pay all the bills

23 years and counting will be enough to have a more than decent pension for your retirement, i think. it will be worth the stay in the company by then, when you receive it. i admire your persistence in your work. i wish i was more like you

I get paid every two weeks. Some months there may be 3 pay periods in that month. It works out okay for us but sometimes can get a little tight right before payday. I get paid on fridays and my husband gets paid on the monday prior to my payday so usually it works out pretty good where we have something coming in. I used to be in a job where I got paid once per week on Fridays and since I had direct deposit it would be in the bank by each Thursday. That was really nice.

I receive my pay twice a month. The previous place I worked I received my pay weekly or four times a month.
I tend to find that when you receive pay monthly or quarterly, you tend to be in a higher paying profession.
However, I find my monthly pay less now than the previous job. But then again the previous job I was paid hourly plus commission.

I receive my salary (from my hubby) twice a month too, on the 14th and on the 29th if the month is up to 30th only, if the month is up to 31st, they got their salaries on the 30th. I experienced once direct selling, and this kind of earning activities, you receive your pay when the costumer pays, when they don't, you then have to pay for the products they ordered from you. My mother is an insurance agent, although they have no fixed salary, they still do get their salary on a fixed date, I think twice a month too.

Wow salary twice in a month thats really cool. But I will recieve my salary only once in a month. That is last day of month. They will directly credit that salary to my account. Too Bad. I am feeling jealous about you guys. He he. I am Kidding. Best of luck earn more and enjoy. Have a nice day.

i'm jealous about people who get their salary weekly. it just goes to show that people are eternally unsatisfied of how they get their share of material things

I usually receive my salary twice a month. Before, it was during the 5th and the 20th but the Management decided to change it to the 10th and 25th. It was quite an adjustment to make but it is okay as long as my pay slip is correct and complete. =)

yeah. it's what matters the most. what is written in your pay slip and not what date of the month you get it

I also receive my salary every 15 days. usually every 15th and last day of the month. So far, I haven't experienced receiving it later than expected and it is one of the things that I like in my current job. The administration and accounting department are responsible and are concerned with the employees.
I can say that I can budget easier with this current salary schedule compared to every month. It is harder to budget a month's salary

I used to have a job where they paid your salary every 4 weeks and you budgeted with that cheque for your months expenses etc. However one month of the year you got two lots of salary and it was great
