I like doing the laundry but if there is one part of it that i dreaded it is the folding the clothes part. I do want this chore though bu this is very tiring and time consuming for me because I am so OC with this things, I want my clothes to be folded neatly, like the one you saw on department stores. I am not keen on color coordination though I just want them to look like they are lined up perfectly. I really am keen on lining the folded clothes and folding takes a lot of my time because I usually repeat the folds when it is not aligned with the other. But now I somewhat acquired the right fold, sometimes when I am in the mood, my folding talent is good. I just fold and every clothes were perfect.
And just days ago I have like 3 basket full of clothes to fold, good thing they are almost done, the sad part is, just when I am almost done, my laundry is up again. Oh! when will this laundry cycles end?
How about you guys Do you like folding the clothes after washing it?
Or you just let it hang there and get it from the hanger when you need one to wear?

I won't say I really like it (depends on my mood actually). It's just that I prefer it to be done just right and so want to do it myself. But the problem is that I do not have much time to do it nowadays. So, sometimes it does lie in the hamper till I need it and will iron it then.

Hello, Pehpot!
I do not do the laundry. My mother is the one who does it all the time. She washes the clothes in the washing machine, then she iron it and, depending on the cloth, yes she folds it. Usually, shirts and t-shirts are put in the hanger, just like my pants. However, underwears, shorts and socks are all folded and put in the drawer. My mother really manages to fold them perfectly, which impress me.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

It is the one downside to laundry, I am fortunate that most of my clothes just get hung up so the only things I have to fold are my under germents. My sons have more things that get folded but I have them to that theresefls.

Not particularly bothered by it, but then I only have my own clothes to worry about! When it comes to to shirts, I usually try to buy ones made of material that doesn't need ironing, that can just be put on hangers!
Here's an admission! With shirts and T-shirts usually try to wear them for a couple of days, if they still smell good under the pits! Wearing shirts to the office, I swop them round, so I'm wearing a different one each day!! Don't believe in unnecessary washing - especially in these keeping down your carbon footprint/ ecological times! Oh! I feel a bit better after writing that!! This is now very possible in the cooler weather we have in the south-west of England.

I rather just get alot and stack it up and then fold it all at once but its sometimes hard b/c the kids think its fun to unfold the ones that I just folded. Now its easier for me to do what I can and leave what I can't in the dryer until I get to a point where I can hang and fold the clothes. I put the folded clothes on the washer and hang the hanging clothes on the door knobs until I am finished. If hubby is sleeping then I will wait to pick up the clothes but if not I will pick them up when I finish.

I love folding clothes since young. I remember those days of helping my grandmother folding clothes. She would painstakingly teach my brother and I the 'correct' way of folding but my brother and I always fold it on own way..
There are clothes which are meant to be hanged and those which are meant to be folded. So.. most of my clothes which I wear at home, I fold. Those dresses, shirts, skirts and jeans I own, I hang them.

LOL =D LAundry is always like that ^_^ It's never ending.. hehe =D I was taught to do laundry when i was a kid, and i dun like the process though it was fun for me, at that time.. hehe =D
ANd whenever my mom collect the laundry, she will always ask me and my vrother to help with the folding.. BUt most of the time, i will only fold a few b4 giving it up, because there are just so many. hehe ^_^ BUt sometimes, i will have a competition with my brother too, to see how can finish more and faster.. lol =D As i grow up, i no longer fold the clothes..
Till now, i will only fold the clothes occasionally and if i see mine, i won;t even bother to fold.. lol

I am not crazy about folding, and hang things that I can. Jean, sweats, towels, linens, etc of course I fold and put away. But shirts, good pants, and good clothes always stay looking nicer when hung up I think. But, again, I am not fond of folding and like to get laundry done as quickly as possible, so that is what motivates me to hang clothes up more than anything I think!

I do not like folding and putting away laundry. I do color coordinate in my closet, as it makes it easier to find what I am looking for. I hang up all of my pants, skirts, and shirts, including my tee shirts. It is easier than folding and they stay neater.
Also, when I take off my socks, I safety pin them together with stainless steel safety pins so I never lose a sock. Then they go right into my draw with the pin so I just pull them out. I have not lost one sock since I started doing that!
I do not fold underpants or bras. I just stuff them in the drawer. My pajama tops are in one drawer and bottoms in another. Night shirts go in with the tops. I do not fold but roll my clothes that are in draws so all are on top, and I can see them easily without having to move the clothes on top.

I actually do not mind doing laundry at all. There are 6 of us in our house and I am doing laundry constantly. I actually prefer to be the one to fold because I like everything to be folded the same. My husband does help and I let him, of course, but sometimes I refold what he does when he is not around. The thing I hate to do is put it away. My dining room table is covered with stacks of folded laundry. That drives me crazy too!!! Not having my table!!!! Luckily my kids are getting old enough were they can start to help putting their own clothes away. Another thing I really don't like is to iron....YUCK!!!!

I try to take all clothes to the rooms that they belong and put them into the drawer they go but hang everything else up. I hardly ever fold up anything except for towels that go in to the closet. My best secret is bins. If you put items into bins then no one kows that they are just stashed away. The bins look neat but after the clothes are there for a while they need ironing.

You would not be a happy camper at my house, then. Nobody folds their clothes. I do better than the rest, but most of the time my clothes and my husbands clothes sit (clean) in baskets in our bed room. since our son moved out he comes home to wash his clothes and leaves them in piles in the kitchen. He used to take all my laundry baskets upstairs to his room and just let them sit there with his clean clothes in them. There are still a lot of them up there. I have been carting the clothes box by box to the consignment shop. He knows I'm doing it and could take his things home with him or even just put them away, but he just lets them sit there. I can't say I am happy with this situation, though. I just wish our family, including myself, had half of your dedication to folding clothes!

Sometimes I find folding clothes very satisfying - I do laundry once a week, and to be honest, sometimes the clean laundry just gets taken straight from the hamper and put on. But I try, and I like to make it all neat and tidy.

This is the part about washing that I hate the most, besides ironing! I always hang my clothes out neatly and put them straight up on to hangers when I take them off the line just so I can avoid ironing.
However I have found that once I get into folding clothes, I don't mind it, the repetitiveness of it is almost entrancing, especially if I'm watching OPrah or something at the same time.
