How long did it take you to reach your first payout on mylot? I'm still working on it. I know if I participated more, I would earn more. I was just wondering how long it took you and how often were you posting?
Sometimes I run out of interesting posts to read. I usually look through the most recent ones. How far back do you read in posts? Is it okay to respond to something over a week old?

Post Post and Post some more... discussions and responses. I don't think it matters how old they are. You can upload pics with your discussions for a few extra. Respond to news and stuff too. Make sure you respond with at least three lines. I made payout in five weeks the first time and have made it every month after. I don't earn much over 10.00 and that's ok cause I like it here.

I a new mylotter. I know what I should do is to insist on taking part in the discussions as many as possible. As for payout on mylot, I don't dare to think about it, for I think it is a long way to wait. I don't want to make a plan to reach the goal. When I have time, I do more discussions. I try my best to do more. In some day, I believe I can reach my first payout. Go ahead!

I'm sure you will reach payout one day. At the beginning earnings seem to filter through very slowly, but the more you get used to myLot and get more involved, the more you will earn. Although you'll probably find that earnings become secondary, and having fun, learning new things and meeting nice people from all over the world will become your main motivation!
Happy myLotting!

when i started to become active, it took me just a month to reach my first payout although i am already a member for 7 months already. i am aiming not for my 3rd straight month of reaching payout and there's a big possibility that i am going to achieve the hat trick since i only have less than a dollar from minimum. hoping to reach it by tomorrow.

I haven't reached my first payout yet. Hehe. But I'm a dollar away from it. It took me over a month to do that since I have days that I wasn't able to log in here. I just try to spend a few hours in mylot everyday and post 1-2 discussions then respond to others' discussions. I believe the key thing is to post quality and interesting discussions. Just have fun here and the earnings will follow. ;D

i think it takes me about one and a half months to reach my first payout... i am a bit slow in earning here because i also have a full time job on top of my online earnings... i just treat all the earnings from here as an EXTRA pocket money and i am happy with whatever amount i get... take care and have a nice day...

It didn't take me long to get the minimum payout which is $10. All we have to do is make constant posting and try to get at least 50 posts per day so that you can earn quickly and reach your minimum payout. Yes, it is true if you participate more, you will earn more. Mylot has a very simple rule and if you follow it's rule and never break it, mylot will be very generous to you. I usually read recent posts too, because when we look back too way back we might answer some posts which we had answered before. In other words, we posted in the same discussions twice because we have forgotten about it. But sometimes I do look back at my own posts and reply to their comments, even though it is one year old.

I became a member of mylot in dec 2006 and i got my first payout in Apr 2008.
Well, dont be surprised by the time duration. Actuallyy i joined this site in the month of December 2006, under a strong influence of earning some online money, but i was disappointed somewhat by the way it paid earlier. I could hardly earn a dollar in a month. So, i left this site for a year and only came back earlier in Jan2008. Since them i have been posting regularly but only a little everyday.
I remember my post cound was around 320 when i finally reached my first payout of 10$ here. I would have started afew discussions, uploaded few pics, but mostly what i did was responding to discussions.
Being in a job, it is difficult for me to be active over here. I hardly post a few responses everyday earning a few cents and thus keeping my earnings meter ticking. I have had 3 payouts till date and i am hoping to receive my 4th one next month. It take me months to reach my payout, but i dont give up posting. Its just that i dont find enought time to post more over here.
About responding to some old discussions, its absolutely fine. I alwyas comment back to people who respond back to my discussions even if i start them months ago..

It took me four or five weeks, and I've been making payout each month up until now. However, I have less time now and I'm not spending as much time here as I did in previous months, so I think that this payout trend will change! Before, I was spending perhaps a couple of hours each day answering and starting discussions. Now I just come on when I get the chance. It's ok though, I'm mainly here because I enjoy it, and I'll continue to come on here whenever I can regardless of earnings.
I answer whichever posts take my interest, and for which I've got something useful to add! It doesn't matter how old the post is. You can answer discussions that are years old; sometimes it's a nice thing to resurrect old discussions!
Don't worry too much about earnings, just try to post answers of four lines or more, and have fun here! The more fun you have, the more you participate and the more you'll earn. (In another discussion I made a diagram to illustrate this whole process, but I've lost track of where it is - but I'm sure you get the idea! )
Happy myLotting!

hi
I hope next month I'll be able to get my 1st payout. In fact I was suppose to get it in the very 1st month after joining mylot. But, I had to take a break, so i couldn't post. But for last 7 days, I'm again in good form and if i can maintain this form, I'm sure I'll get my 1st payment next month.
I generally reply recent discussions. But sometimes old discussions which i missed earlier but interesting for me, I do reply those also.
Before replying any discussion i read the discussion. I'm not in a hurry. So I spend quality time here. I generally post 25-30 replies a day.
Happy mylotting.

Well, I guess in some ways, I was one of the Lucky ones. I joined the middle of October 2006, and I was able to actually make $15 in here that month, and have continuously been able to reach payout in here more than I have not, and am quite Happy with that as well. I know sometimes my posting comes and goes in spurts, but this site continues to be worth being here for sure.
All I can tell you is I find if you can post quality answers of like 4 lines in length to at least 30 New discussions plus start a couple of New discussions from time to time, this should help be able to reach payout each month. I know it takes some time to do it, but it can be worth it so much as well.
Wishing you the Best.

It was a long time ago, so it's hard to recall, but I made the payout threshold fairly quickly - maybe a little over a month? But I had the wrong PayPal e-mail in there and it took a while to get it all straightened-out.
It doesn't matter how old the posts are - I responded to a couple that were over a year old earlier today!
I have hardly posted since then, but the few cents my referrals earned me in the meantime got me nearly to payout on their own (thanks, guys)! So I came back, like I have every once in a while since I joined, and fell into it again...

It took me 3 months to reach the $10 minimum payout. The more interests you add, along with having a lot of friends that share these same interests, will give you a better chance at finding discussions you would be interested in responding to.
It doesn't matter if the discussion is a week old or a year old. If you haven't already responded to it then I say go for it! Just the other day I did just this and responded to a discussion that was 2 years old. Mylot actually encourages people to resurrect old discussions instead of starting ones that are similar in nature.
I hope this has been of help. Happy posting!

For its doesnt matter how old the post is, if i feel its interesting, i would definately respond. I still remember when i responded one discussion which was 2 years old. And about payout, i am here since past 2 months and i have not yet reached my payout, almost there and in 2 or days i will be there with payout limit. I need 70 more cents to reach my payout. Today i will be bit busy, so my target for today is to earn arround 20 to 30 cents and rest i will leave it for tomorrow. Wish me luck for that. Anyways best of luck to you too, and have nice and good time in Mylot. Stay here, Make Friends, Enjoy your stay and also make some good money.
Regards,
Jnk3dfx.
