as i was watching Seinfeld earlier, i've been caught by Seinfeld's last few words, wherein if we have a friend whom we really dont want but we cant tell that we dont like the person, what would you do? since that situation hasn't happened to me, i was wondering how the people in who are in those situation would handle it? how about you, friends, what would you do if you have a friend but you really don't like him?

Hi Nhey16, I only have friends that I like and I don't have that many friends, but in the situation when there is one that I don't like, I would just ignore the person and not call hin/her up, we only see people we want to . Tamara

If I have a friend like that, I just don't contact her/him on my own, and I think she can feel that if I really don't like her... Most people are sensitive enough of other's feeling.

I do not think that there should be a friend whom do not like. Because you like him or her, you have made him or her your friend, then how can you say that you do not like him or her? However, if such situation arises, then I think that I will have to find out the way to tell him or her that I do not like him or her. It may be just avoiding that friend more frequently or even by telling the fact on his or her face. I would certainly try to see that I do not hurt the feeling of that person in doing so.

I don't know how to handle this. I got the same at one time. At that moment, I can express only by my feelings. I can't say the words "I don't like him."

I have a couple of such friends. i would rather call them people i know than calling them friends. i try to avoid them on every chance i get. i do not take their calls nor do i meet them.

I was in that sort of situation years ago... i had this friend... who was good and nice at first... but as time passed by... she became too needy that she became such a nuisance to our group... so we started not inviting her when we went out... until such a time that she got into another group... we still talked to her... but never hang out anymore...

If i really not like the person,it's very natural that i don't talk to him much and play less with him~as time pass, the relationship between us will definitely loosen, till broke up at last.we won't be friends anymore~ this is my personal opinion~ i am eager to know how other mylooters do....

Gives him the silence treatment also known as - ignore him. We already have enough idiots around us in our daily life (bosses are known to be idiots at times), I don't think we need more of them. I will just be quiet and stop giving response to him unless I really need to. If he still irritate me, I might need to tell him off by hinting him (not really scolding him since I'm not such a person).
