mercy killing

This just came to my mind: If you came upon an obviously suffering and dying person who was in a great deal of pain, would you assist in their death if they were begging you to do so, with no help around?

i support for mercy killing. consider a situation of a person who is in that situation. no, just consider us in those situation, say paralised. we wil surly want to die rather than to lay like that. so i support for mercy killing. But let us pray to God not to make person like that....

when you are paralyzed you have no nerves and thus no pain so why would you consider it for mercy killing? soon you will be saying if someone lose and eye or hand they can ask for mercy killing. This is the reason why it should not be considered because it can lead to many other things..

no my dear frd, i didnt meant that. consider a situation..this is just for explaining.......ok ... dont take this as serious... u and ur frd where going for a trip and some terrorist catches both of u... and they simply cut ur body parts like fingures, foot, hand and they even pulled out your eyes but u willnot die fastly... it wil take time.. at that situation if ur true frd were given a chance to either save u or kill u... he/she will definitly kill u because ha/she cant afford seeing u like that and its sure that u wil die even if u were taken to hospital.. here i am not taliking abt a person who lost his eyes or hand and r cured. i am talking abt a situation u r helpless to cure him and u r sure that the other will die after some times

its a pretty severe scenario and i understand what you are saying but I still would prefer to help my friend live and try my best to give them hope. Even if they die they will die with hope in their hearts and will die knowing they were loved and I did not want to see them die without a fight to live. These modern days limbs can be replaced artificially but the spirit can't so by choosing life for you friend you are helping them fight from inside and giving their spirit and soul strength rather than despair thinking they have no life left.. i'm sorry for me the choice will still be to fight for their survival rather than give up on them. but that is my choice and i accept others choose differently.

i would.. i dont see anything wrong with mercy killing IF you know for sure the person was going to die and that they were suffering.. of course in your story i wouldnt know for sure anything running into some one without a doctor (if it wasnt visible i mean) so i wouldnt do anything unless i knew a doctor already said they were.. and if i knew the person.. if i was dying and in pain i would want the person to do it for me..

I probably won't, its not that I am being difficult or because I want that person to continue suffering the pain, but i don't believe that it is in our hands, mine nor that sick person's, to decide whether a life should be ended or not. Only God has the right to decide for something like that.

I think I cannot do that. If it will be me who will act as the mercy killer. I don't think my conscience can handle it. But I agree to mercy killing because I do not like to see people suffering with so much pain. If those person agree that they want to die why prolong their sufferings.

i don't think i will be able to do that, although if i were in the position of the dying person, i would wish that whomever i'm begging would be able to liberate me from the pain.

I don't know if I could do it or not to be honest. There are a lot of situations out there that differ. On one hand I have seen great suffering and thought..who could blame them if they wanted to..and then there have been occasions when I have known people to commit the act and think...how could they. That's a toughy.Maybe I would just sit with them and ease them until nature took it's course. I don't know.

No I would not help but I would do anything to relieve their pain. I would assist them by doing nursing duties. I am against euthanasia. © ronaldinu 2008

I am not God nor am i a doctor so I don't think i would kill them but I would try my best to make them more comfortable and in less pain. I mean what if the person thought his pain was so bad he had to die but then after you discover that it was something that could easily have been fixed with injection or something? We all have different levels of threshold for pain so one mans agony may be another mans hic-up.

Although I am a supporter of euthanasia, I do not think that I could administer the dying blow or medicine, whatever.
