Think about this logically. BASF is a major company -- it really is. They can afford to hire real accountants, payment processors, etc. Why would they contact you, out of the blue, to work for them? They can hire people to find people to do this work. They don't go out looking for payment processors themselves. Nor, would they hire someone they don't know to handle thousands of dollars directly. It just makes no sense. This is a scam to get your personal information to use for who knows what.

So, as long as they get my personal information, that is how they get paid..? I am glad I asked, why me, because I really want to know why they are doing this.. Now, I know exactly why.. Using my personal information is just as cruel as the email that they sent to me..

The things that seem odd to me are: The fact that they emailed a complete stranger(they must have bought an email list), there is no contact information, they're offering a seemingly important job to someone they obviously know nothing about, and chemicals from overseas is just a scary thing. I'm not sure I'd go for this either. Have you done any research on the name of the company though? I looked it up and it is a real company, but I'm wondering if it is someone trying to get your information rather than the company itself...www.corporate.basf.com and maybe drop them an email asking about the validity of this email. Good luck, if it's genuine it would be a good opportunity...

I will use their company information, to look up if they are an actual business or not. When they emailed me, it entitled Undisclosed recipient.. My name was not on the email. So, they could have been emailing an axe murderer, and they would not have known this. They also need to be careful too, of whom they get involved with in schemes as this..

Anything that is too good to be true in the internet is a SCAM dear. Specially those that require your personal data. These are the work of the opportunists who have no heart for those hard working people who just wanted to earn extra. Please do not believe such. If you want to check it out, research the name of the company or the person. I'm back my friend!

Yes, this is scam. All they want is your personal information.
They are preparing to make big $$ on you.
They may in fact send you a check with 10K asking you to send back only 9K and keep 1K as a profit of work done. If you cash the check and send your personal check with 9K, you are going to be 9K short, it takes about 2-3 weeks for banks to discover fraud.
Delete all of emails like this one.

my first question to you about this letter is do you know anyone from belgium who is involved or had any dealings with this company?if no then do you have your email address listed on a site that has anything to do with working or selling the kind of roduct the company says they deal in ?if the answers are no then i advise you ignore and delete this evil mail from your box,if you send your details dont be surprised that another mail will come to you giving you a different offer that may be a lot more juicer than this but it will still be from the same person using a different identity, its a scam

Yes, I am glad that I took precaution for this.. They tried to dress it up in another way, but I knew it was someone posing as them.. They are just wasting too much time on me. It is sad, when others give into to their temptation. I hope that what I have done will begin to set an example for others.

Yes, as a matter of fact this morning, I had another email about the same thing.. It was formatted differently, and it looked very odd. So, I deleted it. And I reported it as scam. I know that this may very well be the same person just still TRYING to get me into a bind. I am smarter than they think that I am. I am far from being a fool.

I'm also having the same problems. I also receive email like this and others about job opportunities or that I've won prices. There are some that I would like to reply to because they've used some well-known companies but before I do I usually check it out first and I would always find out that it's a scam. Now, as much as I'm tempted to give them the benefit of a doubt - I don't! It's always too good to be true because they want you to think it's possible but it's not. I hate it when I receive emails like this. Hope you will not have any problems. ~

Definitely a scam.. If they really wanted to hire you as an employee they would have done it by a formal letter, not by email. So obviously a scam. By the way.. i'm from belgium and i never heard of the company before.
Greetz.

Yes, it is very stupid that they do this.. That is why they are being overlooked and declined.. All they want to do is send fake money to me so that I can cash it and land right into jail. But, No I am smarter than that, I will not fall for their games..

There are several ways in which that are attempting to con you. (1) They may be simply be trying to get hold of your personal information for identity theft, (2)they may actually send you money for you to forward on to another party less the "commission". This is money laundering and WILL land you in prison. (3) They may also send you a bank draft, which will be fake, in the hope that you will send the the money on as in (2) before you discover that the draft is fake. In which case, you will have lost that money.
In short, any email or other communication of this nature is an attempt at criminal fraud and should be reported to the police as such and do not attempt to communicate with these criminals in any way. No genuine international company has any need to use these methods for moving money.

This is money laundrying scam, you collect from their clients in the usa and wire the funds to them in united states courrency. Money they can't put in their accounts there so they trade it for usa money. Also when you send things back to them such as name and address they use these to make ids and drivers license in your name. You should immediately delete these when you get them.

I was contacted for something like this and I called the FBI. It is a scam. they send you a check and ask that you cash it and send them the money. The thing is, these checks have been cancled or are fake. Then you have the money that you sent them and they cash that. It will cause you to go in the negative balance in your account and you get fees from the bank. The money is gone so you have to pay it back. DO NOT DO THIS!!!! If you do not trust me call your local FBI office. They will tell you.

You are right, this happened to me once.. Last year, I was sent three fake money orders. They looked real. But Wal-mart told me that they were fake.. They both had high amounts.. I could have gotten into trouble.... That is why I am very cautious of things as this..
