I have been cleaning our yard since last week because of the fallen dried leaves that are plenty. It annoys me because after cleaning and raking all over, leaves keep on falling and make our yard covered with dried leaves again in just few minutes? Oh!!!
It makes me grumpy a little bit. Seems like I can't stop raking in a day? do you
feel the same way? Well, this always happen when it is FALL season. We have lots of trees around us which means lots of leaves to rake every fall. My goodness!! I'm tired already hahaha.... How about you? did you rake the leaves or just leave it there until they are rotten? What is your technique of getting rid of them?

I used to be caretaker at the local village school and had to clear the leaves every single morning. I loved it, in the cold morning air. I had a suction machine, like a vacuum cleaner, and a big, yard brush. I used to sweep the leaves all up into a pile in the corner of the playground and then suck them up with the machine. The leaves would then be emptied into compost bags and taken to the compost bin at the bottom of the yard. The only thing that frustrated me was when the wind blew hard whilst I was sweeping, but it's one of those things. They'll be there again the next day. lol. We'll never stop nature, nor would we want to, my friend.
Brightest Blessings.

Maybe you can find some kind person who will gift you with the suction machine. It's very good for clearing the leaves quickly, and it can be done daily without to much exertion. I scouted around for one in the U.S.A. and found one on Amazon for $69.99, if you're interested....

Hello Bebs. There are a lot of trees in our school, but we have cleaners do this job. Also our students take part in the activity in sweeping the fallen leaves every day. I love to see the leaves when they are golden yellow on the trees.

I hate it too, We have a SUPER HUMONGOUS tree in our yard and it just DUMPS leaves on the ground...and you go through the whole day and your side and arms are sore, and the next morning theres NEW leaves...and then once our neighbor took his MOWER and started MOWING the leaves into our yard, he ran them over with the mower chopping them up and then they would blow out the mower into our yard, and he was very careful about not turning is mower, he pulled it back instead of turning it like most people do, I mean is that inconsiderate or WHAT?! throwing them in our yard is one thing but grinding them up besides?!

hahahah you are right!!! as if raking the fallen leaves is non stop if you want a spotless yard. Well, about the inconsiderate neighbor, that is stressful more than the falling leaves.... Sometimes, it's hard to deal with neighbors. That is why my hubby do not want to live in a community with lots of neighbors. I just don;t understand why some people are inconsiderate.. If I were you, I will talk to that neighbor reminding him that, maybe he doesn't realize that he is giving problem to his neighbor?

I like fall season, but in these season leave will surely fall.I like watching the falling leave and touch them, it's beautiful. I love rake them and clean them in the cool weather, not too hot and not too cold. It's a nice and happy activity for me.

Hi Bebs,
ohhh..I can imagine how tiring is that! we have no huge trees in our front yard only at the back but I am not raking all the leaves, it's not a lot yet! LOL! I do know if I can't stand when all those leaves will be already in the ground but this time, I can still tolerate!
I don't like to go out since it's cold! LOL! I have seen some of my neighbors who are picking cleaning their front yard very often! LOL!

Hi Che,
Oh Yes, it is cold outside but I want to clean LOL. I wear winter jackets even if it's not winter yet. LOL.. I have no neighbors to compete with in cleaning the yard because they have an open field, no trees around their house. It is nice to see our yard free from dried leaves but it seems impossible this time of year. The leaves of the trees around just started to turn yellow and there are lots yet to fall.. huhuhu!!! It is so annoying....

Oh, I hate raking leaves, I just leave them there till their rotten..lol. We don't have very many trees in our yard so it doesn't get bad. I was doing alot of raking a few weeks ago, and I hurt myself, I woke up the next day and couldn't hardly move my arm, I guess I raked so much I pulled a muscle in my arm, and it still hurts today, I even had blisters on my thumbs..lol. I told my husband I wasn't ever raking or doing yardwork again...haha.

hahahaha!! that's what I felt the first day I do the yard work of raking the leaves. I can hardly move my arms and my body is in pain.. just wondering why, Well, I've just raked the other day and now our yard is again full of dried leaves. I don;t want to leave them there till it rotten because it looks ugly.. It;s good if i can find leaf blower.

There are these things called teenagers, they like money, they might even work for it. Try and see if there are any teens that want to do some yard work, I'll bet they'll do a great job and it will give you some much needed rest.

hahaha!! that is a good suggestion!!! but there are no teen agers around our neighborhood. They are all old people and you can even hardly see them. We are not living in a subdivision where there are lots of people around having teens. We are in the country area where, seems like no man's land.. hahahaha...

My husband has a leaf blower with bag so that makes it easy. However, we also rake leaves because the kids like to jump into the piles. It can be quite annoying though when you rake a big pile of leaves and then the wind blows them all away. All that hard work for nothing.

Hi Shar, you are exactly right!!! Very annoying, when you are almost done and the wind blows your pile of leaves and then plenty of leaves again fall to the ground? It makes me grumpy. Really? your hubby has that leaf blower? I did not hear that one? Maybe I have to ask my husband if he knows that stuff.

That's funny because i actually enjoy it. It gives me a chance to go out to the yard and get out some frustration. Even though your right the leaves fall you pick them up and then two days later the rest of the leaves fall and you got to do it all over again. Welcome to home ownership. I really did like doing it though because it gave me a chance to go out and be by myself and just relax a little.

Good for you, you have 2 days later? hahahaha me, right after cleaning? there are lots of leaves again in a few hours. yes, it is good to be out once in a while but raking all day everyday? hahaha... it's not fun!!! it is nice to see our yard spotless but very impossible to happen during fall.

Heh. I understand. Here we rake the leaves too, and it is a lot like the trees just won't stop! At least they are colorful and pretty, not green. Other than that its chilly and then becomes unenjoyable. In the end it looks a lot better than some of the neighbors lawns and sidewalks. Unfortunately once we're done raking for a while, we'll be shoveling snow for the next few months, which can't really be ignored... :P

aw!!! shoveling snow? hahaha not much in our place. We seldom have snow here but the wind is chilly.. freezing but no snow all the time. Last year we had only 3 times of snow and just 2 inches thick. But I can't stand the cold... it is more chilly when there's no snow.
