What do you think about ladies who smoke?

Do you still think it's still an unusual thing for ladies to smoke nowadays? It's so common to see a lady who smoke than a guy who smoke recent days. I just don't understand what is going on with all the ladies who smoke. What are their intentions to smoke actually? To get attention,to release tension or something else? Any lady who smokes here,please do share with me. Please don't find offensive with me for raising up this issue. I am very curious to know the answer as I see all my boyfriend's female friends are smoking. I just don't understand. Thanks in advance for all the opinions.

Hi yenwie! I am woman and I do smoke and I don't know why I start with this bad habit! But no matter what the reason is, this is not a good habit to have, its an addiction that once you get in, its hard to get out or stop. I hope that one day I'll find a way to stop it.

Smokers always know smoking is bad for them but they just cannot stop smoking. Addiction is a big reason to get someone to keep on smoking. Anyways,since you know smoking is bad for you,hopefully some day you can quit this habit. Have a nice day.

Hi there!
I'm a female smoker, and if I'm honest, I hate it! I have no idea why I smoke, but I find it really hard to stop! I hate seeing other women smoke though, and I think it looks really unladylike and if I see myself smoking in a mirror or photo or similar, I cringe!
I don't think my opinion just applies to women however. I hate it when my hubby smokes around me, not just because of the smoke blowing in my face and the awful smell, but because I don't think it looks nice!
I will give up smoking eventually, it's just taking me a while!

i don't think it is good to smoke, no matter the smoker is man or a woman. we all konw that, it is not good for our health. but it is still a lot of people are smoking now. they say it is hard for them to stop, or they think it looks very cool. i have to say there is lots of women smoke.

I do not think it is unusual for a woman to smoke. My daughter smokes, but I do not. She says that she smokes to release tension. She is going tomorrow to pick up her stop smoking prescription. She is trying to quit smoking as the doctors tell her that smoking has added to her female problems.

It is very common to see a lady smoke inowadays .Though it seems to be very cool even sexy when the ladies smeke in the movie or TV ,I still can't understand why they smoke .Just as you said ,for relax or something else ,but it is not good for our health ,I advise ladies not to smoke .

for my opinion both man and ladies should stop smoking as they do not know that it is bad for their health and may cause them lung cancer and any other type of cancer

Smoking is started in western countries has become very popular in all over the world.When i go to pubs with my girl frnd they were smoking ladies.They smoke
like a addicted to smoking.Now ladies also become faster in every moments in life.
If any one smokes i will hate smoking.My opinion never smoke ladies.

Ladies who smokes dont looks cool.. I think most ladies smokes because they are stressful and I believe some is for fun

People smoke whether boys or girls primaily because of peer pressure until they got into it. Wanting to belong is the number one reason. Maybe they think smoking is cool. At a young age, smoking is done so that they will be acceptable to their peers. At an old age, when people smoke, it is already a necessity or a psychological addiction.

'smokers die younger' .i used to smoke a lot and whenever i used to buy a pack,i used to read this.I got so sick that i quit smoking.now am smoke free and i am happy about it.I have seen many ladies smoking.I have only one thing to say. 'smoking kills'.According to research it not only effects your lungs but also your prostrate,skin and bre...t.It may even cause damage to the unborn baby.So i ask all of you to quit smoking and lead a healthy,happy life.

Well,it is just a personal question and their own choice though it is harmful to their health.The causes ot their smoking are quite complicated.They are almost form every aspect.Some for relieving their tension,some for curiosity first and they can not get rid of this habit from then on,some for attracting others' attention. well, it is totally a legal behaviour and you should not emphasis it so much.

HI Yenwie, I think that smoking is bad no matter if it is a man or a woman who does it. Some women do smoke to show that they are emancipated in society and they can do whatever a man does. They have copied man even in his wrong doings. I am against smoking as it is hazardous to health.

Isn't a lady smoking an oxymoron. Real ladies don't smoke. :)
I think ladies smoke because they start when they are teenagers and they think that it makes them look more mature and cool, and because their peers smoke so they want to fit into the crowd. Also it is an act of rebellion. Unfortunately nicotine is so highly addictive they cannot quit later when they finally do mature. They are also afraid that if they quit they will gain weight, and smoking tends to be an appetite suppressant so it is also good for weight control.
