It is October 28th and it is about 7 degrees Celsius out, which is approx 45 F, and it is snowing!! We are expecting 15 centimeters, which is about 6 inches of snow overnight tonight. I cannot believe it. Last week we were wearing just a sweater out and now we are talking about buying a snowblower. YUCK!!

I live in London, Ontario, Canada, and we too got some snow last week when you first posted this discussion. I honestly cannot remember ever having snow that stayed on the ground before Halloween... and I've lived in Ontario for all of my 35 years. Thankfully, within a few days, it all melted away, and then for Hallowe'en night, we were able to go out in costumes without the need for winter coats.

Yuppers it was the same here. We seemed to get the most snow according to The Weather Network. I live in Brockville. There is still snow however in the parking lots of Walmart and the like. Bleck We went out and bought a new snowblower this week because I think we are going to get hit like we did last winter with a ton of snow!!!

Nice!! Even when my son did live at home getting him to even shovel the walkway was a struggle let alone a 70foot driveway. We have always had a snow blower for that. But with this year now that is a new blower I will be able to use it too perhaps.... we'll see.

We had one day here about a week ago that it snowed just a little. It melted as soon as it hit the ground. But today we are in the middle of a chinook. It was a beautiful 18 degrees here today. But I do not expect this to last very long.

Yes I am in the west, Alberta actually. I think that central/southern Alberta is known for their chinooks. I know northern Alberta does not get them. I hope the weather is nice for you there too.

LOL I hope it is warm for the kids tomorrow. It is suppose to be 12 here for them.

If you have watched any of the weather reports about Canada from last night our city was hit the hardest by the storm. We ended up with about 8 inches of snow when the storm was all said and done. I really hope this isn't a sign either of another bad winter for us.

It never snows here. I've never seen snow before except on TV. I want to play with snow, heap up a snowman or have snowball fights. It's about 85 F here in the daytime, and we are still wearing T-shirts. But the temperature is lower at night.

Well, I live in a tropical country and the temperature is around 28 degrees Celsius out so I don't think we're going to get snow. There was a hailstorm earlier in the year but that's the closest thing to snow we'll ever get.

Hailstorms can cause a lot of damage. The problem here in Canada is when the power goes out during a bad storm and the temperature is only about -10 or -20 Celsius there is very little you can do to keep the pipes from freezing in your home or yourselves for that matter.

I'm not ready either. I hate coats, hats and mitts. Although I don't mind the boots because I like to buy dressy ones to wear. They aren't great in the snow but they look good!!! LOL I'm in Ontario Canada, where are you with the cold and snow?

We don't have any snow here but its rainy season now. Some of the states here are experiencing flood and most of them have to move to the shelter. Its very sad to see crops destroyed and houses ruined. I hope it end soon.

Last year here in Ontario Canada we had record snowfalls. I remember having this much snow back in the 70's. My kids got a kick out of it. They used to think my stories of all the snow we used to get were bogus till last winter. We had about 3 feet of snow or so and 5 foot snowbanks sometimes higher.

I only enjoy the snow for a month or so here in Ontario, Canada. I get pretty much sick of it after Christmas. Most Canadians do hate it after Christmas despite the fact that we have it usually till March!!! Where do you live that you don't get any snow? Maybe we will move. LOL

No, we haven't gotten any snow yet, and we probably won't get any for awhile, because where I live, we don't hardly get any snow, we may get a two or three inches, but by the end of the day its gone, and it usually won't happen till around December sometimes, maybe late November. I think its in the 50's today and just the other day it was warm and we didn't have to wear a jacket...lol.

I hope that it doesn't snow for a long time, though! I mean, Halloween still hasn't happened yet! At least wait until after Thanksgiving! I am just not ready for SNOW yet! ;)
