People always say you shouldn't eat after 6pm.
What time do you eat dinner?
I get home at 4pm and my honey is already cooking.
We usually eat between 4 and 5 pm.
But then we just sit around watch tv and i hit the bed around 7pm.
So do you eat late and then go to bed ?

Well that's a problem many of us have. We love to eat at night and that's the reason we gain weight. A man told me once that he lost weight just by not eating anything for 4 hours before he went to bed. And I can see why this is. If we eat before we go to bed then extra calories are less likely to be burned and fat is more likely to be stored as a result of inactivity. I'm probably 70 lbs overweight, however, I did successfully lose weight a few years back when I planned what I would eat each day and I stuck to the plan. I counted my calories plus my fat grams per day. In addition I did my best to plan what I would eat that day the day before.

Yes. My honey sometimes doesn't start cooking til 6pm. I've never hreard that you're notr supposed to eat after 6. Most days she works anyway, second shiftso she doen't get home til 11:30 at night. She cooks on her days off and we eat the left overs and can eat anytime we want. But I eat sometimes around 8 pm and I go to bed around 1:30.

I guess with your schedule it's hard figuring out a good time to eat.
So you right, just eat whenever you want.

I agree with several of the answers, you must allow yourself 4 hours to digest your dinner before you go to sleep. Midnight snacks are quite tempting but you must try to avoid it because it makes a lot of difference when you try to lose weight.

I don't have set times to eat. I eat all the time, whenever I feel like eating. I always eat right before I go to bed.

Hi, I new to mylot (my lot in life site), lol so I'm wondering if I will get paid for my response. In my opinion the best time to eat is when you're hungry. So I'm wondering if you are usually hungry when you get home from work. If you normally go to bed around 7 then I'd say that between 4 & 5pm is a good time for you to eat. That way your bedtime will have been at least 2 hours after you ate. I've heard &/or read that 3-4 hours after you eat is a good time span before bed. That means after you've had your dinner don't eat for 3-4 hours and then go to bed and that way you're allot less likely to gain weight. I hope this response has helped you and others.

I usually eat dinner around 6:30. The thing is that I usually don't go to sleep until about 3am, so I get really hungry around 1 or 2. I think the time you eat is healthy as well as your sleeping habits. I think that people say you shouldn't eat late because they are assuming that you go to sleep at a certain time. What I have heard is that you shouldn't eat right before you go to bed.
