What Do You Think Is The Reason For Not Getting Many Responses?

i really don't start many discussions. not much interesting goes on in my life that i think anyone would be interested in.

I think it depends entirely on what your post is about. Topics that are on everyone's mind tend to get a lot of responses. I've received around 140 responses in one of my discussions about the internet! Gas prices, the economy, I guess it's just the price of things these days... they tend to get more responses because everyone is affected by them. Posts about Christmas might be a hot topic right now with it just a little over a month away. I seem to be on a roll right now. I don't know why. I guess it's just that the things I post about are hot topics right now. I just can't say for sure. Maybe it's just life. It tends to go in cycles so maybe you're just at the low end of your cycle right now. It's bound to pick up so don't get discouraged and keep posting!

I am not getting many respondes as well. I think alot of it has to do with the responders that normally answer our discussions are no longer here. They have found another place to make money. I know I left for awhile to post on another place.I still do but decided to give MyLot another try. If that isn't the reason than I truely don't know.

I think if your thread or topic is not interesting enough for other people then expect to get none or few responses.

Oh I have no idea really. Often I post one that I think is really great and it gets totally bypassed. I'd imagine some of it is timing. I was reading somewhere that there are certain peak times of day when more people are on and discussions get more attention. Other than that, who knows?

I think it is because I dont really participate with all my friends and stuff. I really dont have time to be on here as much as I used to and can not comment on their stuff like I should. Who knows I may just not be making good discussion questions!

If I don't get many responses it is basically because it did not interets the members here I reckon. I answer my friends discussions via email so doing it this way brings the discussion right up to me. Once a discussion is responded to it brings it back to the top of pour page. So I leave a few respoonses blank so I can add a comment later to bring it back to the top of the page. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Many of mine do get responses but some never do. I have quite a few that never got any respones at all. Its hard to say and you never know.!

I think the more we can put into our discussions the more we'll get back that's standard procedure with anything. I'm not getting many right now either and because I have been doing more the last couple of days I do believe that myLot is slow right now. People could be out and about getting in as much of the nice weather as possible before the winter hits. It hits hard here when it comes and now with Christmas coming I guess people are busstling around.

Hi Chevee, I have not idea why you are not recieving any resonse to your discussins, I always respond to you and I know you do to mine, when I do one though I don't do many discussions anyway, the most I get is 24 responses, I hope you get lost more reslonsed to this one. Love & Hugs. Tamara

I think the reason for not getting many responses here is all about how you start the discussion. If you make a simple discussion with sense which everybody can relate to it, you would probably got plenty of responses. And of course you should have many friends in your list here, for i see one mylotters profile that her average responses to each discussion she have is 100 plus and their are also almost 300 plus responses she get in a discussion, i think she only have 5 discussion that has few responses. The rest are hundreds already. An she got also 4,000 plus friends wich i think is a big factor too.

I don't get any responses to my discussions.I only get 1 or 2 if i am lucky.I just keep coming on everyday and responding to as many discussions as i want and exit.I am earning a little each day from responding and i will hit the 10.00 sooner or later.I really don't know why people don't respond so i will just keep doing what i am doing.

You were lucky to have gotten that many , I have never had so many responses except for a few of my discussions however, I have come to the realiasation that the there is no rhyme or reason or formula that determines how many responses you get.I have seen discussions that I personally thought were not "discussion worthy " yet they were getting a lot of responses and yet some that I thought were good werent even noticed.I suppose it just a matter of taste and what resontes with an individual.I suppose though that it depends on your purpose here ,if you are here to incite meaningful discussion and not quantity , then you should continue to write on issues that inspire you.However if you are here to get the maximum responses then you might want to choose more popular topics

i have a lot of work to do...it will drive me crazy....the internet has become my desease of normal.it is a habit to be online for me when i am waking up .without the computer,and i dont know what to do,or how to live my life.it isthe computer makes everyone get used to it.

i also do not get many responses like all the old timers. i think there are many factors. first of all the discussion must be interesting and cathy. many people should be relate to that topic. plus i think one must be very popular to get many responses here. if you have many active friends, they will answer you

i was also experiencing this thing some time ago.as i am from india,i found way to get many response.as this is the time when schools and colleges start in us,canada,there are not many people during day time.so i got solution for myself,i start discussion in night indian time.and i place comment on them during days so it can help to get responses.also i have added many friends so i can get responses and discussions to send my responses.hope you have got answer which you need,happy mylotting

you have already mentioned the possibilities of not getting many responses. yes as you told the discussion may not be of their interest, may be your discussion is hidden so i think it is better to write the discussions when there are more people online, we have to make more friends so that they can view our discussion and reply to those and i think most of the people cant view our discussion and it remains unseen which will lead us with no responses.

Hi Chevee, I could see some best discussion from you as well. To get more responeses you can try thi Add more friends, because most of the friends replies on friends started. It will make you to get more responses. Keep on overtapping by providing comment to responses it keeps your message always as recent discussion. Try to make apt discussion in apt interest as well. your topic better catches up with development of the international world.and the discussion better with common interest and popular trend.if i can't get plenty of responses,i'l reflect myself.and looking through high popularities from other people.finding out the lesson.that's all i wanna share with everyone.what's your take on that? just speaking ,i'm all ears.

I am still still new on MyLot but the reasons are most probably the same as on any other site. *your discussion falls down in the list and no one notices it *there are only a few people interested in this discussion(And they might not be on the site when you post your discussion) *people might not be interested in that discussion It would probably help if there were a lot of people in the same interest group as you are or perhaps in your friend list so that they see it whenever you start a new discussion.
