Maybe it's harder than you think, could be you only see when he is writing

In my case, the hardest part is starting. I overanalyze how to begin. Once I give in to instinct and just start typing, things flow from there much more easily. The key to my writing is just start. Or, as Nike would say, "Just Do It."

Its true, but I love writing. When I wrote my first book it seemed to take forever, now material is rather easier to compile but its still something that needs serious hard work.

You've written a book? That's great! Has it been published? I find it easy to start writing ideas, but after a while they dry up so I have lots of stories sitting on the computer and none actually near to completion!

Really? I always find when I write it comes easy. I guess I'm not a true writer.

You may be. It's just a discussion topic.

"A writer is one for whom writing is more difficult than it is for other people."~Thomas Mann I totally agree with you and Mr. Mann on this.

WRITING IS THE REWARD - A computer aids writers now, making research easier, as well as typing, editing, and gathering ideas.
Yes, it is difficult, but there is nothing more fullfilling either. I am empty if I don't write. There are days, when it is hard to just write a paragraph and others, when I can't stop long enough to even eat. Very few people, other than writers can understand this torment we put ourselves through. Thank you very much for recognizing it.

How true. How very true. I am not a writer, though I love writing (poetry in particular), but I know how nothing ever measures up. You end up becoming your own worst critic. Yes, I agree that a true writer finds writing most difficult.
