How do you get ideas for Mylot discussions?

I am glad there are people like you who find it easy to start discussions. I am not one of these lucky ones. I post a discussion and no one responds. I guess I find it easier to give my two cents' worth than to begin a discussion. Cheers!!

I have an exceptionally childish mind Positive and I usually think of something so banal that i just know that someone out there will be able to tick me off and tell me to be more adult. So I start and adult discussion instead, and they say that it is banal, and so on and so firth. Magazines, Family, the people that I meet and mylotters all contribute.

I usually start discussions base on my everyday life... or what i read on the internet. That way I can keep my discussions interesting and hopefully some people will also find it interesting as well.

From everyday experiences. It could be through observations of what is happening around me, through conversations I had with other people, through my decisions and the results of it, and many more. Life is the best source of all the threads I have here.

I look around me and see whats going on. If I want more information, I ask. If I had an experience that is worth sharing, I share. If I am provoked, I respond. If I am inspired, I create!

I hardly start discussions. When some interesting topics flashes in my mind I just start them immediately. I just keep responding start with some topic when I feel like

I am a professional writer so I get my inspirations from anything and everything.

Anywhere really. But the main place that it comes from is my mind.. I have many questions that I have always wanted answers to. So coming to myLot gives me the chance to get them answered. I have many concerns and questions that I want responses to. Thins that I never could understand. I also make discussions to see how other mylottians are living life.

This is one thing that i never wish to do. The reason is simple i don't have ideas for making discussions which can get good responses from people. There was time when I used to post discussions and also respond to good discussions, but now i don't have ideas so i don't do it. I think every other mylotter gets his ideas of posting from his life. Our day to day life teaches us so much that we can write some good posts here.

Well, mostly I get my idea for topics from the events that are happening around me. Yes, incident, people,whatever it is that I think good to use as discussion topic I will post it. But I am not posting as much everyday. It is not an easy thing for me like you? it is easier to post thatn responding? I am the opposite, It is easier to repsond than to post.

well nice discussion friend many people get many questions in their minds if he do's some work or if he watches on thing or anything funny or what ever it is...then a question raises in his mind and then he will start a discussion here and he will get the different responses....well i will get the idea for discussions by making the responses to other discussion........

As much as I would like to start discussions, I hardly do it, because some of the ideas that I have thought are already posted in here. I just look for the tags and reply to any available posts listed.

Well i usually put just two or three discussions in one day ;) but when i star one i think in all the small and very interesting things i do it and what the my lotters friends think about this, the things i really want to know it and maybe someone in my lot know it!! and things like that. well i haven't started any discussions yet ,... its my first day :p but i have a lot of ideas and will be starting a few discussions very soon ^^

Hi there! having a good topic is indeed a tough one. it is sometimes frustrating when no one even responded to it. But the more you try to think very eagerly on what topic you will have, it sometimes went the other way.. sometimes the simple the best. Just try to express what on your mind. dont bother to think if they will respond or not. Just think it the positive way... that is, atleast they have read it. Who knows they might have the interest to reply. Just the way i did... Have a nice day!

Hey positiveminded~ I don't find it that easy to post discussions. I don't know why, but I don't. I am more comfortable in responding to friends discussions. For me that is the easier of the two. If I do start a discussion it is usually something that is happening in my life. It is just something that pops into my head at the spur of the moment. I don't spend alot of time thinking up things for discussions because when I try to I just can't come up with anything!

when i read any discussions of my interest and i would like to answer the question they have asked and as this topic is of my interest so i get some ideas in my mind and i write for it and i feel that starting a new discussion is a difficult task and i would usually start discussions only if there is any thought in my mind or else i feel starting a new discussion is really difficult and i would prefer to respond to the discussions of my interest but i dont get any ideas from any source and i have not even thought of.

Just post when you got something wanna ask here... or anything you are curious to know or don't know at all... like you said, i think getting ideas from people is not bad... like when you saw someone having some sort of habit that makes you 'uhhh'... then you can try ask here... lol XD

well,I am just a freshman in mylot,I have in here just for nearlly 7 days.But,now,I have a lot of feeling about it,posting and responsing.I have started only 3 discussions which are all my doubts and problems in my life,but few people responded me,it was so pity......but I have responded some discussions which I am interested in,it's a very interesting thing I like.What's more,I can practise my english here everyday,I love here!
