Over the last three days, I have spent so much time laughing that my stomach muscles actually hurt.
When was the last time that you laughed so hard that your stomach hurt? How about laughing for so long that your stomach muscles hurt?
Do you like to laugh that hard? Or are you more of just a chuckler?

Hey pots! I love to laugh really hard! I enjoy laughing as
hard as I can possibly laugh! Much like you described. Laugh
until I am in pain! That is the best way to laugh! I do that
sometimes from some of the discussions my friends have here
on mylot! I think that there is nothing better than a good
hearty laugh that comes from deep within! I like to laugh
as much as I possibly can and the harder the better. They
say it is the best medicine and I truly believe it. I only
wish I could laugh even more often then I do!

I completely agree, Opal, the harder the better. I love to laugh and I make it a point to make sure I do it everyday. I call it having a belly laugh. And yes, it is the best medicine ever.

Hi, braided. If I thought I could do it any justice at all I would try to relay some of the stories. But I think it is all in the delivery. My husband's cousin who we spent Thanksgiving weekend with, just has a knack for making the entire room laugh with her interjections into common everyday discussions. It is gift with which she had be blessed.

Oh that is easy!! The two times we went to the Broadway show, Spamalot!! I never laughed so hard in my life and we plan on going back.
Another, almost as funny was Curtains with David Hyde Pierce (played Nigel on Frazier). It is closed now but it was so funny!!!

I heard good things about Curtains. David Hyde Pierce is so good.
So, Spamalot is THAT funny is it? It has been way too long since I been to a B'way show. I used to see several every summer.

If you never see another Broadway show, see Spamalot. You do not have to be a Monty Python fan. My mom, who is not into any of that, laughed so hard and she is 80.

Ahh,moonlitmagikchild, my wit switch seems to be broken..... I can't come up with a thing to make you laugh right now. I could refer you to a few profiles here on myLot that always seem to produce a laugh. But then, you probably know them better than I do.

Almost anytime I get together with one of my siblings we do that. A couple of weeks ago, I was talking with my youngest brother and he and I laughed so hard that we were both saying, "Oh, stop! My jaw hurts. You're making my stomach hurt!" Then, just last week, I was visiting with my other brother and sister in law, and we got to laughing so hard that we were all crying. Sometimes my Mom and I laugh at something so hard that we will be holding our jaws to keep them from hurting. I like laughing like that once in awhile. It is good for the spirit.

Hi, eaforeman. I love to laugh until I cry. I never daub the tears with a kleenex, rather I rub the happy tears right back into my skin.
Funny, I have a clown of a husband too, who happens to have a thing for Valerie Bertineli.... from back in the One Day at a Time days.

Hello makingpots. Yeah, there were a few times when I got my stomach muscles hurt because of laughing so hard at something that was so funny. I hope that you are now ok with your hurt stomach muscles. Good luck and take care, friend.

Hi Makingpots, Oh when I do laugh I laugh so much that my tummy hurts. Whenever I am at work all the girls have a real good goggle for the majority of the day over the silliest of things but it keeps spirits up and keeps us looking forward to the next work day whatever other stressful work moments there are the laughter and the fun compensate for these. Children are happier than adults because they laugh far more so laughter is good for us. Keep those muscles hurting LOL. Huggles. Ellie :D

I really laugh out loud and I have a bg funny bone that's worn on my sleeves, so to speak. I still believe that laghter is one of the best medicines ever so I make sure to have a hearty laugh befor the sun sets. If not, I watched the repeated episodes of Mr. Bean.

Yes , those are such wonderful times when ya feel that way and worth the soreness . My brother was in a play for the weekend couple years back an expecting carol and my lord was that a hoot of a play ( the play is meant for the actors just to make a mess outta it and towards the end you feel like you cant take no more )

One time, a long time ago, I was laughing so hard, I was literally on the marbled floor. I was bobbing my head too much from laughing that my forehead hit the floor. I know it's not the stomach but I think this reply works in this discussion as well. And yes, I've laughed and snorted out water as well. Gross, huh?

I'm definitely someone who loves to laugh hard and loud! I've reduced myself into coughing fits more times than I care to remember because of it too. I don't recall ending up with aching stomach muscles though? Laughing with abandon is therapeutic if you ask me and it's in our best interests to do it as often as we can. There's no shortage of humourous material coming out of interactions on here either!

Oh, I forgot to mention the SNORT! I ended up laughing so much when I was talking to a friend on Skype last week that I snorted! This of course made us both laugh even harder and it was hilarious. When you manage to bring out the laughter snort, you know you've hit hilarity paydirt!

Whenever I laugh, I laugh whole heartedly. I love to laugh on the slight pretext and just cannot stop myself if someone says something funny. I believe that laughter is the best medicine and we should laugh as much as possible.

makingpots,
Oh, there were times I would laughed till my cheeks got cramps. No joke and I still could not stop despite the cramp pains and all.
I suppose laughter is not just contagious, it could be very ticklish at times.
Cheers and do have a nice time and day.

Yes it is very ticklish at times.
I have a friend who causes my cheeks to get cramps anytime I am around him. He is so consistantly witty that I'm at least smiling if not laughing the whole time.

I can’t remember laughing as hard as how you seemed to be on your discussion. Though maybe I did but simply laugh for a few moments and that just it. Maybe I did back home. I often laugh hard with my family especially with my nieces and nephews when we’re gathered in my parent’s house. Miss that..
