What Type Of Discussions Do You Like To Respond Too?

With so many people being in here from all over the World, we have tons of people who come in here daily posting back to others discussions and doing searches, or searching Interests for discussions that might interest them as well. There might be some here who never consider looking by Interest or searching by search engine for certain types of discussions, but then there are many here who prefer certain catagories or interests as well. One of mine I am always posting and responding back too, is the myLot catagory. For some reason I know this is where a lot of the Newbies will come to ask questions, etc. or many talk about other things here that interest me concerning myLot, so that is why I come there a lot too. Then I head off to check my Friends discussions, or discussions that are Top Rated as well. Actually when you really think about it, how can you not find something interesting to respond back too in here as well. Wishing you the Best. ~~TINA~~

That really depends on my mood. I regularly just respond to any kinds of discussions, usually the ones who seems like they want others to listen to their story and know their feelings. I have seen some discussions started by some people, who shares their own story that hurts their feelings, and wants some responses to those discussions. I like those kinds of discussions, as most of them I have read sounded interesting, and I could just feel that I want to respond to that discussion, try to make them feel better if possible. There are many other kinds of discussions I tend to reply to, but to me, the type of discussion that I just stated (see above) is my popular one. I also try to reply to some other political discussions, but they sometimes sound kind of confusing to me.. :P

i do like to respond to discussions that don't have 50 people who already responded, b/c then i feel like the person who started it may not have time to read em all and not read mine, then it's pointless. i also like responding to people who i know will respond back, that's a real discussion. i like discussions in my interest, or things i know about. Like if there's one regarding computers, count me out b/c i'm totally clueless.

It depends on my mood. Mostly it's politics, animals, or people. Sometimes I get inspired if I'm watching TV or reading a book. I'm a pretty varied responder although I always check out what my friends write and the top discussions of the day. After the election cycle, however, I am pretty burned on politics.

You are right KrauseHome, I think that the best place to answer newbies questions are in the mylot category. I love to answer question in the discussions of Questions and Answers and also from Internet and Computers category. I have a lot interests but I don't always respond to discussions that I don't have any idea on how to respond, I don't like to post anything that doesn't has to do with the topic.

I respond to discussions that I'm interested in and that I can relate too as well. I think there's no point in responding to a discussion, where you can't totally relate to whatever topic it is.

Hi Krause, well I look for only those discussions with which I have good knowledge and can respond comfortably irrespective of whether it's of my interest or my friend has posted it. There are so many discussions from my friends where I have nothing of substance to respond, especially those who write about anything of their country, like politics, shopping etc. Have a nice day!

I love to respond to discussions which is of my line of interest. If I found out that I can contribute a lot to certain discussion, I replied on it. I know both of us will benefit from it. I also like discussions which is descriptive. That means, I don't care how long is his post is, as long as he stated it very well, I will not be tired to read it.I can say that I reply only to quality discussions because I believe that replying to quality discussions is intellectual and challenging.Happy mylottin!

I like very much the discussion that aren't just made to be there, another opportunity for making money. Real, good and difficult question. I don't understad why people asnwer to pueril questions. Maybe they just don't want to think or it is easy to answer to a daily question than to a universal one... Have a nice day!

I like to respond to those discusssions mainly started by my friends. The topic could be even a bizarre one, but its the further interactions which keep the discussion alive and interesting. Other than that i like to respond to discussions mainly under the life and people interests. Then there are some very interesting articles and posts in the questions and answer interst and the day to day issues. Thanks

This is a difficult question because I tend to respond to a myriad of varying subjects. basically I respond if a discussion appeals to me, but the list of topics that would attract me is so vast that it would be futile to attempt to list them. If I feel that I can make a reasonable contribution then I am happy with it and simply skip the ones that either I have no knowledge about or simply do not interest me.

If I get a chance to respond to discussions which don't happen to be too often these days, I respond to the one's in my inbox from my friends. I do good to respond to a few a day from there, and don't have time to do much of anything else. But very good suggestions that you offer here.

I have a basic routine when I come to Mylot. First I go back and check the few discussions I have started to see if I need to comment, then do the same with the ones I have responded to. Then the next place I go to is the no responses tab. I don't generally check by which interest the discussions are about. I skim through the headlines and if they don't grab my attention I move on. If they do, I read the preview. Again, if it doesn't interest me, I move on. After the no responses discussions are finished, I go to today's discussions and do the same thing. After that I go to friends' discussions. By that time, there really isn't much need of going to individual interest tabs because everything is mostly covered in the other areas. Recently I cleaned out my interests and left only the main headings rather than the individual ones under those headings. For instance, I might keep watching tv but not the individual shows I watch. I felt that keeping all those cluttered up my interests and took up too much time. Whenever I am particularly bored here I will go to the individual interests but what I generally find there are older discussions rather than the newest up to date topics. I cannot really say what kinds of topics interest me each day. I can more easily say what doesn't. I stay away from discussions that are childish in nature, political, overly religious, or otherwise controversial. Basically I think they only serve to start arguments and open the doors for the trolls and people who like to rant. I also stay away from one liners and discussions that to me are trivial and lack depth. I do enjoy some of the cooking and crafting discussions but they are not something I go looking for. It is just whatever catches my attention as I browse through the headlines. It could be anything. This past month there hasn't seemed to be much here to catch my attention and I almost quit. But I decided to hang on a little longer.
