Have you been called? I had to go today, I drove an hour in the fog and sat in court an hour before we were dismissed, the case we were call for had settled so they didn't need us. That's when we found out it would have been an 8 day case. Most of us were very glad it settled. Has this happened to you?

i work for superior court, so i cant be on jury duty. i kinow how frustrating it can be though. i see it first hand. and i see the same people over and over it sseems like. our names are picked by computer so we dont know who will be picked and who will not at first. but you wouldnt believe the calls to be taken off jury duty. people hate it. but most jobs pay for your time off for jury duty, plus you get paid by the court.

I got called for jury duty last year i think... i didn't do it though...
I got a doctor from my doctor saying i have anxiety or something and wouldn't be able to handle it... and i couldn't.. i was spazing out about having to go down and do that... i really did not want too either. I think that should more of an option to do... some people would love to do but never get called. my dad did it when he was younger and he liked it..but hes into that kind of stuff... I'm just glad i didn't have to go and do it.

Yes, twice within the space of a few months.
It was initially a seminar for jury duty so they could give us the ropes, I got out of sitting on the jury because of a disability I have. A few months after that I was called again. I phoned up and was cleared of attending.
