Meatloaf

Hi missy! Wow! That really sounds yummy and very interesting! I think I like that idea! I never thought of that one! My boyfriend might live that for a change. I could surprise the heck out of him when he cuts into it! Tell boyfriend bear I just might borrow that idea if he doesn't mind! I don't think he will, since he's a personal friend of mine too lol! Didn't know that he could cook! I make my meatloaf usually with some onions inside and I spice it up with garlic, pepper, paprika. Then I use crushed canned tomatoes and put that on top. Then I put some canned potatoes, onions, carrotts and bake!

That sounds good. I have put bacon on the top. Or usually I make it with beef and sausage. Or another idea, we make taco meatloaf. My daughter who doesn't like meatloaf, will eat this. I make a regular meatloaf and put taco seasonings in it. Then I melt shredded cheese on top and serve with lettuce tomato and sour cream. yum, just something different.

Missybear you don said it all. I love meatloaf with a passion, and you're right meatloaf goes good with mashed potatoes and gravy. Yummy yum! My mom makes the greatest meatloaf of all, bless her heart. Wait a minute! Did you say he puts bacon and swiss cheese in the middle?..OOH that's sounds delicious. Do the bacon be soft or crunchy when you bite down on it? Either way I have to try it with bacon and swiss cheese. I'm also a cheese lover, so this could work for me. Thanks for the tip.

I love meat loaf too. My favorite is the kind mixed with different kinds of seasonings. Ketchup on top of it makes it so tasty, as well.

TURKEY TACO MEATLOAF!! It is AWESOME! I got it out of the Hungry Girl book. It has onions, bell peppers, cheese, ground turkey, taco seasoning and salsa. It sounds strange, but even my 9 year old gets excited when I make it. Let me know if you want the recipe.

That sounds really good and really fattening, but most of the things that are really good are bad for you. I would have to use a different kind of cheese if I were to make it though. My son does not like Swiss cheese. He likes most other white cheeses though. I normally do the basic meat, filler like oatmeal, egg, onion, and ketchup or tomato sauce.

I love meatloaf with cheese in the middle. I never had it with bacon before. My kids are very picky so it seems that I always have to make it the standard way. It's always made with egg, bread crumbs, ketchup, worcheshire sauce and a little onion.
