My dog goes crazy during the full moon

I don't know why but Shilo goes absolutely crazy during the full moon. I have seen her do this twice now. She misbehaves horribly during this cycle of the moon. She is like an out of control 2 year old. She won't leave things alone, she won't mind or listen for that matter and she tears everything up. during the rest of the moons cycles she is so good and well behaved.
Ever had a dog do this?

i haven't noticed my dogs going crazy during the full moon...maybe because one of them is too old to act up and the other acts crazy all the time. my cousin has observed this in some of her students though, they behave differently during the full moon.

Animals, like people, can be affected by moon cycles. I too have experienced a dog go completely beserk during a full moon. The rest of the month she was just as sweet and calm as could be. But during a full moon she would become hyper, agitated, and bark a lot. She didn't tear things up though, thank goodness. Her personality just changed drastically. There is nothing you can really do about it either. I consulted a vet and they said I could tranquilize her, but they didn't recommend it and I hated that idea. So we just braced ourself for every full moon period. I wish you luck with your sweet puppy.
