I don't usually cook in my microwave unless you call cooking putting a bag of frozen veggies in it and cooking them. I also cook tv dinners in there at least once a week.
I do use it multiple times in a day to reheat things. If I have leftovers from the night before, I nuke them.
So how many different ways do you use your microwave?
Happy MyLotting!

I use my microwave so much that I wore one out in three years and had to replace it! I cook in it, I heat left overs, heat my tea water, warm the cat's cream and so much more. Yes, I warm the cat's cream...Murphy is 14 1/2 years old and is spoiled. I don't like giving her cold cream so I warm it for nine seconds exactally so that she doesn't get chilled. (Yeah, talk about spoiled!! )
I am almost at the point of having to replace this microwave too. Being single I use it constantly.

I would have never used my microwave to cook meat before, but I just bought a microcooker from pampererd chef and it is awesome. You can cook ground meat in it and it comes out wonderful. Now I use my mircowave for making chili, sloppy joes, tacos ect. I also use it to heat up veggies or cook boxed potatoes and rice. I also use it to cook bagel bites and heat up frozen dinners. What would we do with out our microwave?

I use my microwave for cooking frozen veggies. If they were in a can then I would say it was just warming them up but you have to put them in there a while for them to taste right. I also cook minute rice in my microwave.

Most of the time I use my microwave to reheat my food. I hardly ever use my microwave to cook food, even if I had to go for a quickfast on the go or a short snack.

Hello CHarRay7, I usually use mine for reheat or too make some hot tea. But some things donot taste right after comming out of the microwave like breads they heat better in the oven and you can get a crusty taste that you cannot get in the microwave esspecialy when it's pizza.

Hi char! I usually just use the microwave to re-heat food
too! I've cooked baked potatoes, canned beans and corn
also in the microwave. Oh, and my favorite thing to cook
too is popcorn. Other than those things I basically just
use it to re-heat leftover foods. But, I wouldn't know
what to do without it! It really does come in quite handy!
I just bought a new one a few months ago and it's alot
bigger and more powerful than the last one I had and I
really love it. It has much more room inside than my last
one!

Hi there Char!
We don't use our microwave oven for cooking too. We use our conventional oven for that. We just use our microwave oven for reheating, usually with our leftovers too which we eat for breakfast if we're in the mood for rice.

Hi CharRay, I used to cook in the microwave, but the meats turned out rather dry and tasteless as compared to other means of cooking (conventional oven / stove). So now I use the microwave only for defrosting and reheating.

Mainly just reheating, though somethings you can cook in the microwave that seemingly are made to only do so. There are veggies that steam in the bag in the microwave, that I cook as well.

I sometimes cook in my microwave. Mostly I cook instant meals. Also sometimes when am just plain lazy to cook in in the oven thn I use the microwave. Otherwise I use the microwave just to reheat food in a plate. If I am in a mood for a cupa tea thn I also heat water in the microwave as it only takes 90 sec. Sometimes I also cook potato in the microwave as its very qick and easy.
Wow until now I did not know how much I Relied on our micowave.

Hi Char,
At our home, the micro is primarily used for reheating !!!
I love to cook in it coz of the health factor ;)
But at our place electricity is too dear !!!
Still, I do try micro cooking atleast 2-3 times a month ;)

I basically use my microwave to reheat left overs, soften butter, make pop corn and heat water for tea. I also use it to bake potatoes and cook veggies. I do not use it to cook a meal or to bake in. I really do not even use the thaw button on mine since I have found that at times it has actually cooked a small portion of the meat I was thawing.

We have a microwave but it is in the garage. I guess we are one of those strange families that doesn't think it is safe to have it in the house. The only reason why we even have one is to make popcorn because I don't know how to do it on the stove. My sister stayed with us over the summer for about 6 weeks and she used the microwave more in those 6 weeks than we have in the almost 5 years we have lived in our house.

I use my microwave mostly for reheating and making popcorn. Although frozen foods designed for microwave cooking are getting better than what they used to be, I still prefer the old fashioned way. To me it tastes better, and the testure is superior.
In the summer, one thing I will do is to par-cook oven foods in the microwave to reduce the oven time. It keeps the house cooler that way. I hate running a/c while the oven is on.

I use it mostly for reaheating things.
Or defrost.
Cooking, I heard gives too much radiation to the food and it's not very healthy.
Not that what we eat lately, with all these chemicals around is very healthy, but still, I try to avoid unnecessary exposure.
