Taking the advice of everyone here on mylot I ran into my 4 year old daughters bedroom this morning screaming, Santa is coming, Santa is coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She put the covers over her head and said "Too loud Mommy, too loud". So staying in character, I am a child remember, I jump on her bed and said screamed "It is Christmas Eve, Santa is coming! We get to open presents tomorrow". Her response, "You forgot my cloths last night, so I couldn't get dressed, can I just sleep more?"
OK this really is not going as I had planned. So I gave her a big hug and kiss and said "I love you baby, but Santa is coming and you have to get dressed so I can go to work. The sooner I get to go to work the sooner I can come home and Santa WILL COME!".
I ran out of her room screaming, Santa is coming, Santa is coming, it is Christmas Eve. She got out of bed and came to the hallway and screamed for me, I poked my head into the hallway with a huge smile on my face waiting for her reaction and she said "Mommy you are acting crazy". My response was "Yes, well it is Christmas and I am excited! Get dressed we have to go."
So she got ready for school and we got in the car and I said "Guess what!", she screamed "Santa is coming, Santa is coming". I said yup and put the car in drive and took her to school.

lol... that is hilarious! i think if i did that my 3-year old would think i was nuts! :) sometimes it's fun to get overly excited about stuff that makes them happy, too. too often we forget how it was like to be a kid and get so excited about the little things. have fun with her tomorrow!

OH I am in child mode, which means that my office is trouble. I am senior person today, I think it is going to be an interesting day for everything. Not every day you show up to an office job and have a department manager who is senior on site, go crazy and act like a child because it is Christmas Eve.
I just figure today should be a fun day.

That's really cute. Some children are just more serious than others. I can relate to your 4 year old, because I was the same way at that age. Heck, I still am. Some people are bigger kids than others, and quite often age has nothing to do with it. Thanks for sharing this with all of us.
