if you need a reflex probably the best known are nikon and canon!!!
nikon is better because for me the quality is different, specially for the colors.(i've got nikon)
canon has a more lens and accessories than nikon (and also cheaper) so you can find them easily...one other good thing for canon is that it has more points of view than nikon.
if you arent intrested in a reflex i think that the konika minolta are the best!!!:D

I think Canon is the best DSLR camera, so the technology should be transferred to its point and shoot line. However, overall all three brands are very good. They're all from Japan and they all have good ratings from users. I just bought a Sony W series camera (the budget line) a few weeks ago. I'm enjoying my new camera a lot. It's not the top of the line model but it's very sturdy, has great battery life, and takes amazing photos! :)

$0000 whats? Dollars, Rupees, Rand..... I have a Sony Alpha 700 and it is a fine DSLR. It is not, however, in the same class as my Canon D50 when it comes to features to results, and my Canon is running behind the Nikon D300. None of which matters, because it is what you achive that is important, not what brsnd or model you used.

I've had both olympus and fujifilm. Both are good for a casual, take-anywhere camera.

I can call myself a big fan of Nikon cameras. Although my first Nikon Compact wasn't that good, but after I switched to the Nikon DSLR, I found the quality is very-very good.
Below are my cameras time line:
2004: Nikon 5200 (Coolpix)
2006: Nikon D50 (DSLR)
2008: Nikno D80 (DSLR)
You can see photos that I took here: http://afirozia.110mb.com/

My hubby and I both have Cannon's. We love them. They are a little bit older, but still produce very high quality photos and video shots. I have heard that Nikon is the best around, and from their past reputation, I assume that to be correct. But, for now we will stick with our Cannon's.

I like to stick with companies that have been known to make cameras for a long time. This is hard to do in the days of diversification, but is a preference of mine. We recently bought a fantastic camera. After a lot of searching we choose a Canon, not for brand, but for what it can do and the pictures that it produces.

Hi There! Well, I want a OLYMPUS CAMERA… The camera that is shock proof and waterproof… I love taking pictures when we go out even in the beach… I find it hard to bring our camera in the beach when taking pictures since I am afraid that it might not work once I soak it in the water so… I want a waterproof camera… which I will get next year….
Happy Mylotting and Merry Christmas! Cheers!
