I currently have 3, but I'm trying to get rid of 1.
We've recently replaced our TV, so the one we're using in the living room now is a 60" Mitsubishi (I thought they only made cars!)
My oldest son has a TV in his room, I think it's a 27". It's not hooked up to cable, he uses it to play his video games and that's about it at the moment. Hubby is thinking about running a cable cord up there, or we may give him our old DVD player.
Then we also have a 52" Philips sitting in the dining room. That's the one I'm trying to get rid of. It's the one that was in the living room until last week.
We don't have a TV in our room, and we honestly never have. We're currently sharing our room with our 2 youngest boys, so it's impossible to watch TV in bed, otherwise we'd keep them awake.
But honestly we aren't the type who like to watch TV in bed. We've never gotten into that habit.
How many TV's do you own, and what rooms are they in?

I just have one tv set and thats all i need.I am single and am alone in my house except for a manservant who is there practically the whole day. My tv is in my bedroom /dining room. I don`t watch much tv except for a little while after dinner. I have cable tv and get a great variety of channels and programs to watch but i watch only some selected programs.

Just one, its a little one and it sits in our bedroom, its more of a sleep aid instead of an alarm clock. We will set the timer to go off 30 minutes after we turn it on so we can at least watch it, or listen to it until we fall asleep. We travel a lot so we just rent a TV where ever we go.

We have one TV in our living room. That's it for us. It is hooked up to our DVD player and a game system, but doesn't actually get any TV channels. We do have an antenna that would let us get a few channels, but it has been so long since we watched TV that it has just been put off. We have lived here a year and a half without real TV. That's fine by us...

Most of the time I can live without watching TV shows too. It's mostly on for the kids, they watch Disney channel all day. I might watch a couple hours of TV per week, but if we didn't have cable, I wouldn't miss it. We watch a lot of movies on DVD.

We did have four, one in my eldest sons room, one in my middle two boys room and one in my daughters room and then the main one downstairs. We bought my daughters brand new only in August and it is broken already so we are not too impressed and unfortunately we cannot find the paperwork to it to get it fixed!!

Well it all worked out in the end, my mum in law gave me a load of stamps she had saved for a huge shopping chain and we went there and got my daughter a new tv and dvd player and hardly had to pay anything extra to it!! Thanx for BR XXX

We have two, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. It was not planned this way, the main tv which used to be in the living room started to go funny, the picture would sometimes go a bit green. So we went and bought a new one for the living room.
Whilst the old tv was still showing some life, we took it upstairs to our bedroom, just so we could get the news and weather whilst getting ready for work. Miraculously it has recovered, and has been going strong for another 18 months!

Sorry to be a little off the topic but it concerns what you said about Mitsubishi. I've stayed at my sister's once and my phone broke down so she gave me this Hyundai phone which is probably the worst phone ever made! THEY should definitely stick to making cars! Unfortunately,I don't have the charger for it but I still keep this relic,it makes me laugh.
As to TV's,we have 2 of them and seems enough for me

We have three televisions. The largest one is in our Den, where I am at the moment. We have another one in the computer room and it's also on DirecTV. We did have one in the basement, but my husband gave that one to my daughter. We have never had a television in our room. We go to bed at different times and it wouldn't be feasible. Besides, when I go to bed, I want to go to sleep, not watch television. Now, if I was single, I might put one in there for company. My mother has one in her bedroom and she'll go to bed when she gets sleep, set the timer, and lay there and watch television, knowing it will go off when the timer goes off.

My mom did that too. After dinner each night she'd retire to her bedroom and watch TV until she fell asleep. But she didn't set a timer, she'd just turn it off whenever she woke up to use the bathroom, or sometimes I'd go in while I still lived at home and turn it off for her.

We have two, one in the livingroom, and one in the greatroom. I try to avoid having a TV in our bedroom, it's just this funny thing I am against. Those nights, when we want to fall asleep watching TV, we pull out the bed on our sofa.
The one in the living room is 40 something inches, flat screen HD. It is used for a Wii console as well as having a DVD player and a surround sound receiver hooked up to it as well. The one in the other room is a smaller tv, has a two in one player on it.
A few years ago, we had only a small tv with a VHS player built in. The screen was maybe a foot. We were not into TV or any of that. Between something to pacify us after a long day, the fun ideas we had, and also the sociability of it, we ended up giving in.

I'm always amazed at how many televisions we have. When I was growing up, every family had one television and it was in the living room. People watched television together as a family. There are two of us and we have 5 tv's. One in our home office, one in the guest bedroom, one in the living room, one in the master bedroom and one in the dining room. We don't really watch tv in bed either but we have them scattered so that when we're cleaning or doing chores, we're never without access to a tv. How crazy is that? We're going to be moving from our house into a condo in the next couple of years and when we do, we're going to downsize to three tvs, one in each bedroom and one in the living room. We're empty nesters and when the kids left, the tv's stayed!

Same here. Guess back then tv cost a bomb and not many can afford 1. Nowadays tv are so cheap..(not the LCDs..plasmas..hds though) at least here in my country that people tend to have more than 1 tv set. It's common here to have more than 1 set per household compared to 15-30 yrs ago.

We have 6 tv's, only 5 are working at the moment. We have a 42" flat screen in the living room for everyone to watch and play games on. I have a 32" in my bedroom, it used to be in the livingroom before we got the bigger one. My oldest has a 19" in her room, that tv used to be in my bedroom. My youngest has the smallest, she has a 13" in her room, because she doesn't really watch tv in her room. We have another 13" in the attic, that we don't use anymore. On top of that, we have a 27" in my closet that doesn't work. I need to find a place to dispose of it.

I own three TVs now. We have one 32" in the living room, which is the best one, a smaller 22 inch in the dining room and a smaller 14 inch in the kitchen. The two small ones are quite old that we never got around to throwing out when we bought our bigger one. :-) Derek

Hello katsmeow1213,
We have four TV's in the house. The three are mostly 20 inches and the the other one is 14 inches. The 14 inches is being used by my children to play their video games. We each have different shows that we want to watched, and basically each watched their shows on the three TV's. In cases we like the same show, we go watched it in the living room. In case, I have some money, we might buy one of the LCD TV's. I think they consumed less current, and it will help us saves on electrity. I hope the savings in electricity, will compensate the high price of the TV.
Regards.
