we had been wanting to get a plasma or LCD TV from last year and my hubby had been pestering me since last year... we didn't have the money at that time... so i asked him to be patient and wait... i told him to wait for a good deal and timing and then we will definitely get one... so last saturday, finally we got one... and the best part is, we got it at a very discounted price from a closing down shop that is going to close the very next day... i read the advertisement from the brochure that they send to my house and i told my hubby to give the shop a try because usually a closing down shop had lots of good bargains... and true enough, we finally managed to get one and we have a $1000 discount for it... wooo... hooo... how good it is... it can't get any better than that... my hubby is so happy now because that is what he had always wanted since last year... we treat it as our new year present... so how many of you here have a plasma or LCD TV at home??? and do you get it at a bargain price as well??? please share... thanks in advance for responding... take care and have a nice day everybody...

well ,idont know about others ,but i m not having due to similar problem which u were having before ,not having much money i m student and not working anywhere,but i must be having plasma after some years and i m very excited for plasma becouse i heard a lot abou t its featers

thanks for responding... oh yes, me and my hubby have to be patient and save money first before we can get this LCD TV... not all the things that we want we are able to get... and we have to prioritise... needs have to be fulfilled first before we can get what we want... i'm sure you will be able to get yours as well some days when you are already working... take care and have a nice day...

Hello lingli. It is good that you have finally got the LCD TV you have planned to have at a reasonable price. Years ago, it was very expensive to have one like that and we did not buy one like that. The current one that we are using is about four years old and is still good. So I think that we will have to wait for a few years to renew it. I wish you to enjoy yourself with this new LCD TV.

thanks for responding... yes, even at the discounted price i feel that it is still expensive for me... but since my hubby really wants it, then i have no choice as to buy it to make him happy... and i will definitely enjoy the new LCD TV... take care and have a nice day...

Hi lingli_78! Oh that is such a great happy new year's gift for you and your husband! My husband and I have always wanted to have a new LCD TV but we don't have the budget for a new one. I guess, our waiting will be much longer than yours. haha..Enjoy watching and have a beautiful day!

Well, the HD TV's are beginning to really come down in price around here, so that is a definately plus. I have seen the bigger 32 inch or more for less than $500 even from time to time. Who would have ever thought you can get a nice TV for less than what I once paid for my first TV. (I paid over $300 for my first 13 in. back in the mid 90s.)

I am so glad that you managed to get such a Bargain I have one but only a small one not one of these Big Things lol the small one does me
I actually bought mine second Hand but it is only a year old so I thought I would go for it as I will never be able to afford brand New for a while

thanks for responding gabs... yes, i won't be able to afford it if it is not on specials as well... and my hubby asks me to grab it asap before anyone else take it because it is the last one and the shop is closing down for good the very next day (on sunday)... so they don't have any stock left... and true enough... if i waited for a little bit longer, it will be gone as other people will be buying it... so it is such a blessing and a new year gift for me and my hubby... take care and have a nice day...

Congrats lingli for getting a brand new LCD TV with a low reasonable price, that your husband has been longing for since last year. Lol I think I have to pay great attention on the brochures that sent to our house on time to come. Or might be I would come across any electrical appliance with special offer price which I love.
We are still using the tv set we bought few years back. I don’t think I would replace it to the plasma one for it still could serve its purpose very well. So though the price of the plasma tv is rather lower than before but I still would like to wait until the price has dropped much lower.

We got a flat TV last year and it is a 36 inch which is what we have always wanted. And it has HD on it. I love it. We always had the big console televisions and the largest screen we had ever had was a 25 inch. So this 36 inch is awesome. And we can move it around very easily. And the HD is out of sight. It is just like you are right there in whatever you are watching. It took us long enough but we finally got the television that is really cool and we love it.

One thing I did forget to mention is we also were able to get it at a discounted price. That makes the purchase of our televison even nicer.

This is really great. I am finally glad you and your husband got something that you really wanted. We got ours about 2 years ago and we love it. Just take good care of it because they are expensive. I don't want to have to buy another one for a long time.

I am so happy that you got one at a good price, that was a great deal with a fantastic discount. I can understand the joy that your husband feels about the tv. I don't have a plasma one but do have 2 flat screen tv's and an older one that is in my bedroom. My home is small - only 2 bedrooms but each has a tv as when my sons come they only want to watch football. The flat scrren we got free as my daugher's fiancee saw a deal wherby if he bought one then he only paid half price for the second one and they were on sale. I don't know what he paid for them though, as obviously I couldn't ask. So, he gave it to me as his mother didn't need one. Am I blessed or not? Blessings

Congratulations! I have been planning to get a new tv for quite a long time but stuff keeps coming up and now there is this whole digital thing to deal with. I want something thinner than what I have that will take up less space with the picture in picture feature. One of these days...

Congratulations for haivng your new Lcd television. I hope that you enjoy it. I still have a fourteen year old 28" colour television which up till now is providing good service. When it goes bust I will go for an LCD but they are still rather expensive in my country. I am glad that you had obtained a good bargain for it.
