Hospital Throws Newborn Baby In Trash

I couldn't believe this story when I heard it. Okay, in the past we have heard horror stories of how newborn babies are found in the trash somewhere as the mother didn't want the baby. But in this case it was a hospital that threw a baby out with the trash. Kalynn Moore gave birth to a baby at Christ Hospital in New Jersey...there are some conflicting stories whether the baby was stillborn or was actually born but then died some hours later. In any case the baby was supposed to be placed in the hospital's morgue until arrangements could be made for the baby's funeral, instead it was discovered that somehow the body of the baby was thrown in with the hospital trash. A search now is being made in all the landfills in New Jersey for the remains of the baby. But really, now....WTF??? For a woman to give birth to a baby, whether still born or alive but then dying a few hours later is devastating and traumatic as it is...but then to discover the friggin hospital threw the baby out like trash..what kind of morons are these? You can read an article about this here: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,476684,00.html (Warning: This is NOT a referral link but a link to the article discussed here} I hope this woman sues the living daylights out of the hospital...

This is simply incredible, pyewacket! It's no wonder many people do not trust hospitals these days. I can imagine the added anguish of the poor mother finding this out after suffering the loss of her baby. Any excuse they offer would not be good enough for me.That is neglect - pure and simple.

With so much modernization, pyewacket, people have forgotten that often the old ways are the best ways. I believe that we are going to see a change in this in the near future.

My great-grandmother was a nurse and thought all docs as "a-hole"--she was also a mid-wife herself. I always remember my grandmother telling me of some of the things my great-grandmother had said....that often if a baby suffers some kind of birth defects it's due to how the doctor "delivered" the baby. Also more docs push for C-sections when they might not be necessary, why? Natural childbirth isn't considered a surgical procedure the way a C-section is..so bottom line I think most docs push for women having C-sections as they would get more money out of it

I think a lot of women should consider going back to having their babies at home and have the help of a mid-wife, don't you? How many times have we also heard of babies being kidnapped from hospital nurseries??

that is really very cruel and heartless of the hospital to do that... what an insane thing that they do... the mother and family are still grieving over the loss of the baby and they throw away the corpse in the trash like a rubbish... i sure hope that the family will sue the hospital like hell and teach the hospital a lesson... take care and have a nice day...

That is absolutely crazy. i cannot believe that a hospital would actually do that. I hope they are able to find the remains so that they can bury him. That would be so sad if she could not say her goodbyes. I think if this is happening in hospitals then they need to look at their staff a little closer.

When I was telling my mother about this she said she heard something on the news about finding the remains of someone so hopefully this is the baby's remains.

Neither I. I found it hard to believe such a story. It seems that human life has been devoid of it sacredness and dignity. It seems that human life values has been reduced to that of trash. I believe that more respect should be shown towards human life even that to a still born.

I saw a very disturbing video...about live babies that are aborted...they take them away into a "special" room and just leave them there until they die

This makes me cry, it is so upsetting. I'd be devastated. It's so terrible to lose your child, but to have some idiot just throw my baby away as if he/she were trash and with so little regard as to the remains of the poor baby. I'd sue their butts off, even though it wouldn't bring my baby back. They, the hospital and the idiot that actually did this needs to account for what they did. I'd publically make it known who did this horrible thing. Apologises from them would not be enough! My daughter just lost her baby this week and we are so upset by this. To know that a person would be so callous and dismindful of their actions, as to throw a precious baby in the trash. It's just unfathomable. This was not a "mistake" it was done on purpose. I'm so upset about this! I can't control the tears I have falling. What if they don't find this precious child? This is devastating. I know my emotions are high right now after just losing a baby in the family, but I'd still be just as upset over this. I don't have enough to say about this. My condolences goes out to this poor family and the mother, OMG...what she must be feeling right now.

That is terrible. I couldn't imagine being one of the workers having to lok for it, either. They probably fear the day when they come across human remains in a dupster anyhow, but to be told they must search for it...

WTF????? Thats just nuts. I can't believe that there could be a mess up like this in a hospital. It seems there are to many people that do not know what they are doing at a hospital. I can tell you I know of some hispanic people that are just short of not speaking any english. I do not know how they keep a job in a hospital. There is no excuse for something like this happening. I am so sorry for the family, I hope they sue the pants off the whole hospital. This lack of quality control in across the board and there is no room for it in a hospital. I think I wouldn't go to a hospital even if I was dyeing. There is the staff infection that has been killing people for some time now. I know of 4 people that were killed by this infection. As young as 23 and as old as 72. Boy they had better figure this out and heads must roll. I am outraged over this.

I am so sorry you had to go through that. I can't imagine the horror of coming back to find things that far off. Really makes you wonder what it is they do? My Mom was in the hospital and they gave her codine, when her chart clearly says no codine. She thought she was dieing and she got her bible and rang for the nurse. They couldn't find a pulse on her it was so weak. I was in Northern Calif and didn't hear about this until long after. They gave her something to counteract the codine. Still there is something wrong when these things happen all to often.

Think about the babies who are aborted during the last tri-mester. They are fully formed, most have nothing wrong with them; mom just couldn't be bothered or she's punishing the child because she was raped (the child did nothing, but only the child gets punished here). Many of these babies are born ALIVE, but are left to die because sweet mommy didn't want it to live in the first place. The last one I heard was a baby who did have a problem - it had Down's syndrome. It was tossed in a utility closet to die. A nurse found it and was kind enough to hold it until it passed, but by hospital rules she was not allowed to feed or give it water to sustain its life. Why not have these babies and give them up for adoption. I'm certainly glad my mom didn't throw me away because it might be inconvenient for her. How about you? By the way, my daughter has Down's syndrome and she has taught me more than any one else I know. She has no bias, sees no colors, only people, loves without reservation, and refuses to give up until she accomplishes her task. Tying her shoes only took 21 years, but she never gave up. How many people do you know with that perserverence? She's awesome. So, tossing a stillborn in the trash? Not a big deal where hospitals are concerned until the parents' lawyers show up. Whoops, there I go again. Must get rid of that soapbox! lol

I hope you don't get annoyed at me for saying this, but I do happen to be pro-choice...no not for me..but for any woman who wishes to choose abortion....that's between her and her conscious alone to decide. I AM against late term abortions though, as you say in the last tri-semester...I am aware of what is called the live-birth abortions, where the woman decides to have an abortion so late and then the staff takes the baby into a room to let it die...THAT IS BARBARIC!! In a case like this why the option of putting the baby up for adoption isn't given I'll never know...there are so many women dying to have a baby and can't and would love to adopt. This hospital that was involved with the throwing away that woman's stillborn baby away like trash is one of the key hospitals that does live birth abortions...I did more research into this by the way. And to my horror found out a LOT of hospitals do this...and while I'm pro-choice this is just SO WRONG to do

I agree with you, I hope she owns the hospital before it is over.. This is a horrible story, things like this should not happen under no circumstances.. I can't even begin to imagine the stupidity of someone working in a hospital, not knowing what to do with the body of this baby.. This should never have happened and there are no excuses that could be given to explain it away, God help us all, when these things can happen, it is a sorry world..

Yeah, you would think they would be much more careful working in a hospital, it isn't like the local grocery store, where you may misplace a can of beans.. It is scary, thinking about things like this..

Hey, when human life is not regarded as something sacred it become garbage. My wife is an L&D nurse and she sees a lot of weird stuff. Never what happened in the news release but it really makes you wonder what people are thinking. I'm sure the woman will sue, somebody has to answer for this.
