Big Feet, Ugly Shoes

I went shoe shopping last week.
I noticed the bigger the Size the uglier the shoes got.
I wear Size 10.5. I got some biggens.
They got all cute shoes up to Size 9 or 9.5 then they get uglier as you go up.
Then my Girlfriend told me the reason for that is all the Transvestites go to the Women Section and buying all the cute shoes Size 10 and up.
What do you think about that.
There can't be that many Transvestites.

My wife, when she was still alive, always grumbled about my "taste" for shoes. I just love the big ones with a lot of room for my feet, regardless of how the pair of shoes look, for as long as they are serviceable. Besides, when I visit a house and have to take them off, it eases introduction. I have found out that in the Philippine rural areas, people somehow find it easy to talk to people with big shoes - that means me. Even if the person does not know me yet, s/he finds it easy to break the ice with words like "Imo tong dagkong sapatos" (This is Cebuano Bisaya language to mean "Are those big shoes yours?"), which elicits a smile from me, which also puts the person at ease.
As a social development worker, I want to put people at ease. My shoes do that.

That is too funny. Do you think men with small feet have the same complaint about just having ugly size 5 shoes?
On a more serious note lots of shoes (and clothes)just don't look cute past a certain size. Some shoes that look really cute in size 4 just don't look cute in 8 and on up. I rarely find shoes that fit comfortably because I need a triple A width with a super high arch support. When I do find a triple A and try it on my feet look like long skinny rat feet. So my size 7/8 feet are usually in shoes that tie securely on so I don't walk out of them.

A friend's mother said I had a big understanding when describing my feet. I've worn a size 10 since I was thirteen and remember having to go to specialty shops for shoes. Luckily shoes are easier to find in our sizes and my kids are able to find them but they are beyond ugly.
Your friend might be right. Either that or they are in high demand for off-broadway productions of Rocky Horror Picture show.

What a funny theory I am a size 8 - 8.5 and sometimes have a hard time shopping because most of the women here in Singapore have dainty size 5-7 feet! Usually they only have a few stocks of the bigger sizes which definitely sucks for me. haha! I don't think the transvestite theory works here though because I rarely see any and most of them are the same size (and even sexier at times!) than women.

There are a surprising amount of transvestites. Last year I tried selling glamorous shoes in womens sizes 9 and 10 on Ebay, and they sold like hotcakes! About half my customers were men, and the more tarty the shoes were the more popular they were with the men. If you search on the internet you should be able to find some girlie shoes in larger sizes.

I'm sorry but I stopped selling those shoes now (because I had a big bill with Ebay!). You are in Las Vegas? I can't recommend the places I get mine from as they don't ship to US.
What MAY be helpful to you, even if it is a bit humiliating, try to find an internet shoe shop that sells tarty shoes to strippers and trannies, if you like the high ones. Search on 'tranny shoes' or something. I found lots of high stiletto heel 'mary jane' styles. Too high for me though.
By the way, I had always heard that Jerry Hall had got same size feet as me (US 11), but when I found a video of her feet on youtube (there really was one!), I was annoyed to see that they were big but really pretty, slim with nice toes. It's not fair, mine are wide, like a hobbit lol

so bad.why this discrimination.the saying smaller the better should be applicable everywhere.on a serious note,i think ,usually women have small feet compared to men,so the manufactures might not be making shoes of larger sizes pertaining to women, nowadays, everything comes in extralarge sizes,so the shoe manufactures should now come out with an alternative plan.

I was born with big feet and my kids inheritated them too.The fact that I had big feet never bothered me.Sometimes I have had a hard time getting the shoe I wanted. But,I have gotten shoes that were nice.I just learned to live with the fact that I cannot change my feet. Oh well, that's the way God made me.I will have to deal with it.

I know what ya mean about the shoes.. it's nearly impossible to find pretty shoes when you have big feet! lol!
What your friend said sounds logical! never thought of it before. But they are ugly shoes! if they get any uglier.. I'm just gonna wear my moccasins and say the heck with it! lol!

Hi missy! That's kind of funny! Never heard that before!
Maybe you have alot more Transvestites where you live! We
don't have that many here, at least not that I've seen!
And we don't have that big a selection of shoes in size
10 and up either! I wear a size 9 and I feel like my foot
is huge! And I have to say that there are more cute shoes in
size 6-7-8 then there are in size 9!

Wow, big feet =) My size is 8 so i've got no problems choosing a cute pair for myself..in our country, people with big feet can go to shoe makers and ask to customize a pair of shoes for them.. =) They just need to let the shoe makers know about the design and materials they'd like to use for the shoes.. of course, the price is quite expensive but worth it!

I don't think I could afford having shoes made especially for me, but it's nice that you have that option.

I have a different issue. I wear the common size 7. There are many shoes I'd really like to purchase and wear. The problem is that I have the ugliest feet and toes so I can't wear those cute sandals or the peek a boo toe. It really sucks! I used to think that no one looked at other people's feet, but I was wrong. I had many people ask me what happened to my toe nails or why my feet are so ugly. It's quite embarrassing!
About transvestites, I never really thought about them buying all the cute styles in larger sizes. I guess that would be true though. I didn't think that there were so many out there that they would clean out all the shoe stores.

I am only a size 6 so normally I don't have any trouble finding shoes to fit me as nearly all the other woman that I know start at a 7 and go up, and what Transvestites should go and get their shoes from a transvestites shop how rude....
Have you tried to ask the sales clerk if they are able to order you in that nice shoe that you seen but in a bigger size??????
