What is your favorite buffet? In the area that I live in most of the buffet restaurants have gone out of business. There is a chinese restaurant nearby that has a great buffet, but thats a little costly for us to eat at a lot. But,closer to where we live and more to our budget. The restaurant is CiCi's.It is a pizza buffet.
The menu on the bar is salad, spaghetti, both tomato and alfredo sauce, garlic and cheese bread, many different pizza's,brownies, cinnamon buns, apple pizza. The only bummer is that they do not have hot drinks only soda's and water. As far as juice they have Hi C.
They restaurant is very clean and the staff is very nice and accomodating. There is a game room. They do catering and you can order whole pizza's to eat there or to go as well as buffalo chicken.

When CiCi's first opened here the price was $2.99 for the buffet and drink. It was one of the kid's favorite places to go. I like pizza too and found this chain to offer decent pizza. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either and very much worth the cost. I think they are up to $4.99 now? We don't have one close to work or home so I haven't been there since the kids were all at home.
We do go to a chinese buffet pretty often that is 6.99 for lunch and I believe 8.99 or 9.99 for dinner. It's huge and has anything under the sun you could want. They even have a sushi bar, but I don't eat sushi. American foods are also offered there. They have a huge business and the place is full just about anytime you go. Service is awesome too.
My other favorite buffet is Mr. Gatti's. For $4.99 you get the same offerings at CiCi's only I find the pizza better. They also have game rooms for the kids.

Yeah but $4.99 is still not a bad price.Your lucky that you found an alternative place to go.

Actually I like different kinds of buffets. But usually here the buffets restaurants usually offer you different foods at the same time. Such as Chinese food, salads, pizzas, BBQ etc. Or there will be a hotpot buffet and it's interesting, too. But I personally think I will be full easily to have a hotpot buffet:)
I love China

We donn't seem to have many buffet restaurants here Sydney, Australia) anymore.I think there may still be one "sizzler" still going.
They do have some really great buffets in some of the really upmarket hotels thou, even seafood ones, and some seafood restaurants do that too.

I love buffets, either Japanese or international. International is where they serve western as well as local food, which I enjoy very much like roast lamb, salads, cream soups, bread puddings, jellies and cheesecakes plus local delights. For Japanese buffets, I usually target at the teppanyaki and sushi corners.

Buffets are supposed to be a cheap alternative to a menu based meal where you cna get a lot of variety without having to order individual items and you cna eat anything that is laid out. The thought of the different pizzas on your menu is making my mouth water. ummm I can feel the taste. yummy. Hey i better go and have a pizza right now. Bye.

Never been to CiCi's but would like to.
I like Hometown Buffet. They have a variety of foods. From cornbread to tacos and a bunch of stuff in between!
I also like chinese buffets cause it is a good way of trying new foods without having to buy a whole order of it.

O.o that sounds like a good one XD I'm pretty partial to Old country buffet (Chain Restaurant) Which they don't have out here, and Ponderosa (Also a chain restaurant they don't have our here.) They do have a Golden Corral (Is it just me or do I like chains?) We don't go often but I do love going, its not that hard to eat 2 days worth of calories in one sitting :P good food.

CiCi's is a chain,,they are all over the country.Go to www.cicis.com to see if there is one near you. We had 3 Old Country Buffet's here till last year. They were good.Ponderosa has not been around here for years and when they were here they did not have a buffet. We do have a Golden Correl, which is great! But,it's about 18 miles away and I do not have a car.

dfollin,
Where I come from, my country is a renowned food paradise and we have all types of food. So, our buffets comes in many styles and themes e.g. International buffets, Asian Hawker Delights, Continental buffets, Sichuan Steamboat buffets, Seafood buffets, Hongkong Tim Sum buffets and many others.
For my favorite will be the Chinese steamboat buffets, where we will have a open pot with 2 types of soup base hot and spicy on one side and bland on the other. Diners will then help themselves to the fresh prawns, crabs, scallops, vegetables, noodles, sausages, beef, pork, chicken, mutton and other varieties to the table and cook it. There will be cooked items available like fried rice, steam dumplings and hot and cold desserts to compliment the meal. It is good for family and social gathering and you can be assured that the food is fresh.
Do try it if you come visiting to my part of the country.
Cheers.
