I have a couple of opinions here. First...I am disappointed that ya'll are open on Inauguration Day...but given the industry it's in, I guess I'm not surprised. Second, it's ONE day sweetie. I agree that the closures will cause alot of people ALOT of problems but at least you're not going all the way into the city. Just breathe...it'll be ok. :)

I don't think it will be OK, when I can't get to the school pick up my daughter because I am sitting on 95 with tens of thousand other people. It is not OK and Obama should not be getting special treatment.
My last company never closed on inaguration day either and I traveled into DC and didn't have to deal the road closures and crap that I will be dealing with working outside of DC.
Its just not right.

I have just created a discussion on this. As a person who live in the area, we have to be the one who have to deal with the road closure and all. I understand that this is historical and everything, but still, how about us locals?

Just my opinion...since I also live in the area. I would treat it as a weather-related situation. If it snows or ices in our area pretty much everything gets gridlocked until VDOT gets their work done and clear the roads and get things moving again. When meteorologists warn us of a pending snow storm, we head for the grocery store, buy up all the milk, bread and toilet paper...and hunker down until its over. It is ONE day folks. This is an historic inauguration but I think it's unfair to directly blame President-Elect Obama for the traffic issues this is going to create. It's ONE DAY. None of us can change it so just plan ahead and make the best of the situation.
