Ok I feel good about myself right now. I went into my discussions to make sure I have rated all my responses. There is one thing that troubles me and that is I did not realize how I had carelessly not rated as many as I did. I think these ratings are important. So all that answered my posts I want to say Thank You Folks I appreciate you and you have all been rated well. Can you honestly say you rate your responses? May I please ask that you do I think we all deserve what's coming to us. This site is so important to me I just want to keep it strong. There's days I think it's all I got left. I am new here, what do you mean by rate a response??
I have started a few discussions, but like I said I am new and am still learning things around mylot.

To the right of what you wrote here is three little boxes a + - ! The one that's a + means a positive rating, one we all want. The - is a negative response which is what we don't like to see. You will notice I have a blue star and if you hold your mouse over my star it will tell you I am 98 over 100 and of course it takes probably a lot of + ratings to get 100 which is what we all hope for. The ! is only used when you genuinely feel there is abuse within myLot. We never use a ! just because someone does not think like you do. This is to report abuse ONLY. I hope I have done OK in answering your question. If someone else reading this feels I'm leaving something out or can explain it better please help me out. Thanks everyone.

yes, you have explained it well... I have not rated any of my responses but I will go back and get myself caught up. I didnt know, but like I said I am new, only here just under a week and still learning. thank you.

Thank You so much for being so honest and loyal. Different ways work for different people. Seems with all the stress I'm under as well as health issues I need to post my ratings at the same time. I was disapointed in myself when I realized how many I had forgotten. Thank You for answering my post.

yes I rate all my responses, it takes just as second when I am reading them, so why not, if a person took the time to answer my discussions they deserve to get rated.

I love your way of thinking and yes absolutely you are right. I can say I have always done a good job of rating but I guess with all the stress I'm under and the health issues I did overlook more than a few. Good news is I'm done and I promise to rate as I go along as the way you do. Thank You for being a loyal friend.

I do rate my responses to my discussions. I think it is very important. To me if someone takes the time to respond to my discussion I feel it only right that I rate their response.

OH MY Goodness I tried three times now the fourth time I try to post this and when it went with the same response as #6 just above your remarks. Sorry but I love your way of thinking and yes absolutely you are right. I agree with you. Sometimes late at night I find myself not rating all the responses to a post I've responded to. I know it's the responses to my discussions that I'm mostly suppose to respond to but I also try and read and respond to others that I respond to and others responses to that. That's a little time consuming but I do what I can. That's for reminding co-mylotters how important it is.

I do rate all of the responses to my discussions. The most difficult task is deciding the best response. I feel that it is a good thing to rate, but to decide on just one person being the best response is truly something that is not necessary. My brain can't take it!

Well not that I'm going to make a difference in the way you think I am so sure we all have felt the same way. What do you do when you have lets say 30 responses and at least five are above excellent and they're people that faithfully answer your posts, what do you do? Believe me I know your frustration. I sure wish we could rate more than one BR or perhaps not at all. Who knows Thanks for being a loyal friend.

I do rate everyone who responds to my discussions with a plus. I do need to give the best response to many of my discussions. I tend to forget to do that part of the job! I do know getting the best response for a discussion adds to the member's daily total. Might only be a couple of cents but that's something. Only once did I give someone a negative response because it was a violent response that mentioned weapons, etc. Believe myLot removed the member. This was well over a year ago.

I rate those who responded to me, I am sometimes slow to getting to those posts that I have given a best response to because I usually am busy on the unresolved mostly. But eventually I will get onto the others. Actually I do not believe we all deserve what's coming to us, because people really may wish us harm when there is no reason for it, and people may wish us good when we do not deserve it. So only God will give us what we deserve.

I have been going over my started discussions and catching up on my checking. I do not know if it makes a difference, but I find that it makes me feel better especially when I learned that someone finally answered.

Grandma, I am sure that you have lots of friends on Mylot, so that counts for something.. I don't start that many discussions but I do rate all of them, I also make sure that I give a best response to the one that I think is best.. You are a great member of Mylot and if everyone did as you do, then all would be ok..

Hello grandmaof2,yes its very important that we rate the discussions we respond to because it determines the rating of the person concerned.In my inital days of mylotting I was not very particular about this.But now,after realising its importance,I am very particular about marking my ratings.So I always invariably rate a response before I start giving my comments ,lest I forget to do so afterwards......
And Its nice to know you value your mylotting very much....... hapy mylotting to you ,dear.

Thank you grandma and I know what you mean completely. I feel the same way. If it wasn't for this site I'd not have a life to live. And this is totally the truth. I have not friends, really but here and when my house work that I can do is done this is where I go. I'm not able to get out and do things, so this is my world, you all are my friends and this is my activity.
I too thank everyone for everything and being so kind this lonely old lady.

I always rate the discussion and then each person as I read it!
The only time I do not rate everyone is when it is someone else's discussion and I get there and there are already over twenty responses! I then just rate the discussion itself and the page that I am on usually!
As far as my own discussions, I always rate the person as I read it!
I agree this is very important

I have to admit I'm not a poster of discussions as much as a responder, but your discussion gave me a warm fuzzy. I think it's great that a person does exactly what this site it intended for.
I do rate. Even rate the discussions I respond too. To me that's giving credit to the owner of it and, like you said, keeps the website going.
I do rate. Find it a bit much at times, but I understand what you are saying about keeping it going. Thank you. Nice reminder that there is more to here then just bopping around from one discussion to another.

Thank You for your kind words and I felt good about your response. You sound very genuine and I appreciate your co-operation. I sure hope I don't offend anyone, but as you can appreciate we all have different needs. I am not able to work anymore and my window of opportunities are very limited and myLot is a very HUGE part of my life. Thank You so very much!!!
