Have You Bought Anything Since the Holidays for Yourself?

Actually I did, I bought shoes with my gift card I got. Someone at work gave me a $70 gift card for Payless. It was a secret Santa. Then I walked around in Target, I only had $10 cash on me and I got a pair of Shorts for me and a pair for him. I even had change left to buy TP. There is a lot of bargains right now.

I have bught myself some scrapbook paper as well as a new purse and some jeans and a shirt and my next thing to buy will be some shows, I mostly bought for the kids but did treat myself to a few things.lol Bizmom24

Yes. After the holidays were over I went to eblens and bought my self two pairs of boots a pair of slacks and three shirts for my self it felt so good to be able to treat myself to something nice for a change.

Not yet. ive never been to a department store since the holidays.. i havent been to the grocery store either. our refrigerator is still stacked with food we bought last holidays and we dont want to eat that much yet.

No I havent...although I did get 2 gift cards as well and I have not had a day that has let me make it to the store and find something. since the first of the year we have had major snow, bitter freeze and my car has broken down.... not so much fun so far this year. LOL

My wife and I just moved, so we've bought some stuff for our house. There really have been some great sales during the beginning of the year with stores trying to make up for low sales during the holiday season. While I feel kinda bad that the retail market isn't doing very well, I'm happy to help them out when they put great stuff on sale.

I buy things for myself on an as needed basis. I have learned that as I stay as close as possible to my budget...which at times I still fall short...every once and awhile I can buy myself a little something here or there. I still have only committed myself to buying in thrift stores until i have repaid all my debts. This way I still can buy things for me that are not too expensive, but still be able to keep the budget in check. But considering a lot of the clothing stores are closing in my area I probably could get just as good of a deal there as I would second hand.

no, i haven't. don't really need anything. glad you found u a bargain. gift cards are nice. i use to get one from my customer's at the beauty shop every once in awhile. i liked getting them.

Hi there Shar19 I don't think I have bought anything for myself really since the holidays have been over!! I have bought some PS2 games but those have been for my boys and my eldest son had a birthday just 10 days after Christmas so all the 'spare' money went towards his party.

no but iam getting ready too a motor for my car.

I haven't bought anything for myself since the holidays, and it will be quite a long time before I am able to get anything. Since 12/12/08 I have been jobless and what money I do have I have to keep the bills paid. I hope 2009 bring some good blessings my way I need them.

I haven't gone shopping yet. Although I ned to because I have two gift cards to use. I did go out and eat at AppleBees with a gift card the other day so if that counts it was really good! LOL

No I havent .I am trying to save all my money for the impending recession so I only buy things I need and right now I dont need anything.

I have. I bought some books, some movies and new curtains. I really should have looked closer at the curtains though. I bought four panels of lacy curtains for windows that are 37 inches wide. When I pulled out the curtains it turned out each panel was 9 feet wide! Fortunately I have other windows they will fit very well. Just not the windows I originally had in mind.

Yes. I bought me some socks. I have not got them yet but I ordered them. I had to have some because my other ones are getting worn out.

I got a new TV but my Best Buy gift card was only 25.00. Of course again, I spent too much money but I did need a new TV so it makes me feel a little better.
