Yes, they are exotic foods that doesn't come cheap in the restaurant menu. Frogs are a favourite with some while bats have medicinal value attach to it. When my son was small I used to make bats broth or sometimes stewed bat as he suffered from asthma. Now he is 24 years old he is totally cured from his asthma. None of it can tame my tastebud. I am quite picky when it comes to food.

First Humpy Dumpy-now bats?!!?? Wow! I have eaten frogs legs on many an occasion. My mom served them one night. Can't say they really taste like chiken to me. They are edible. A delicacy? Hmm, I think snails taste better. Now bats? How the hell you cetch the suckers? Aren't they a protected species? Well, thought turn to Bat Guano(bat feces) and have u ever gotten near a bat cage at the zoo? Smelly. Do they really eat bat in your country? Remind me never to go to the Philippines! Let's see, start off with an appetizer of frog legs, with a main course of bat, side of humpy dumpy and wash it all down with sparkle. Yak,double yak!

it would smell like Sparkle if you don't remove the lymph nodes. That's according to my father who's been on a mission in God-knows-where hunting for insurgents.

I'm feeling very adventurous lately so I think I'd like to try both.

Since I am a vegetarian I would not eat either but when I was a child I did try frogs legs once when I went to a birthday party. i tried them out and they did taste like fishy chicken if that makes any sense. But if I had to pick something I would pick frog cause I know how it tastes, where I have no idea what a bat would taste like.

I have had frog legs and they are good, I am not too sure if I would say that they taste like chicken but maybe have the same texture. I have also eaten chocolate covered ants. I had these delicacies when I was in high school in my World Cultures class many years ago. However, I have never tasted a bat and not too sure if I would want too. As mentioned earlier in a post, the stink to high heaven. I know their poop is great for fertilizer, they keep insects under some sort of control and I have heard they have great medicinal effects. To eat one? No Thanks.

Hey modstar! Gee! I'm not sure! I really don't think I would
purposely want to choose either one! I know everyone that
has had frogs legs says it they taste like chicken, then I
would rather have chicken! And as for bats? I don't know
anyone except for you who have ever tried bats! So what does
a bat taste like if you can describe it? Ewwwww!

Well, I'm strict as well and no frog or bats for me. Not even chicken so now what do we do. I don't care for chicken and I really don't care for meat. So I guess I have to go hungry. Your friend onlydia. Do you have a salad for me?

I would not really eat either one. But, if I had to say which one I would eat it would be frog legs. I have heard of people eating them, but I never have even thought of it. I would not eat bats.

Hello modstar! Your discussion is ew! heheheh..Well, because you said that you're not strict in terms of choosing, I won't choose any of them. I just can't imagine eating them. It's gross.

I wouldnt want to eat either one of them lol but frogs would be better then bats lol I truly hope that no situation arises where I will really have to make that choice.

Well, if you say they both taste like chicken, why not try them, lol. But seriously I doubt they really would taste like chicken. I would try them both anyways just cause I like trying new things and theres nothing, except maybe when I went to a dimsun restuarant, that I didnt want to put in my mouth. Well anything edible of course. There are plenty of other seemingly disgusting things that I probably would eat as well. Theres always a place in the world where something gross is considered a delicacy and if its good enough for them its good enough for me. Cheers.

I hope I don't ever have to eat either. The thought of eating frogs brings to mind a cartoon picture from long ago. A man and woman seated in a fancy restaurant look down in dismay at a procession of frogs on crutches and in wheelchairs passing below their table. I suppose if I really had to choose between bat or frog and nothing else, I'd pick frog, secretly hoping for a good portion of veggies on the plate as backup.
