and I have decided that I want to go the Amarillo Steak house in Texas. It's the place where they have the 72 oz steak challenge. OMG those steaks look so good. I like mine burnt. There can be no traces of the faintest shade of pink anywhere on my plate. It takes forever to cook but it's worth the wait. I always say, you tell how good the meat is by how many times it gets stuck in your throat! I know it's weird, but I never said I was normal. Have you ever been to Texas to the steakhouse? How do you eat your steak?

Me too! Steak and other meat is the only place in the world I do not want to see the color pink! I burn all the meat I cook cause I'm so paranoid of it being underdone! I figure, if it doesn't get lodged in your esophagus at least once in the meal, it's not worth eating!!!! LOL

hi gang.
I have been to this Stake house. and yes it is in Amarillo Tex.
they don't tell you, you also have to eat all the trimming's
with the meal to qualifie for the free stake. the stake looks like a large roast, with baked patato, saliad, the bread.exc. there was a 84 year old woman that did it. go for it. if you can.(bet you cann't eat just one bite.
they give you 1 hr to do this.
that's also where a man got mad with the Cadallic Co, and burried
Cadallic's nose first in the grownd all in a line.firemountain

Yeah, it told us about the sides on the tv special. I wouldn't want to eat them. Just the steak for me! I cannot believe that an 84 year old woman packed away that much food! That is insane. And no, I could definitly not eat just one bite!

I've never been there. I usually eat my steak medium. I have seen on TV, a few times. I'll go if I'm ever in Texas, though, although I'm not likely to go to Texas (I didn't lose anything there, and really don't like rednecks which I here Texas is full of).

I haven't been to this particular steakhouse but might get the chance soon because my husband and I are hoping to move to South West Texas soon. I love my steak medium rare - my husband likes his between medium rare and well done. He loves steak in the USA. We are in the UK right now and no matter what you pay for a steak here compared to ours it is poor. I have commented many times that here you look at the steak on your plate and think - "Do I eat this or sole my shoes with it."

That's to bad that the steak there isn't great. I would think it would be awesome as the best cows in the world are from over around there somewhere. Well, I hope you get to Texas soon and to the Amarillo steakhouse. They have about every kind of steak you can choose from. It's really amazing on television so I can only imagine what it's like in person!

Oh yeah, I just had chili but I was still drooling and wishing. I'm glad to have met a fellow steak eater that prefers it burnt. It's really the only way to eat it! I say, you can tell it's a good meal by how many times it gets stuck in your throat on the way down! I know that sounds odd but that's how I eat everything. I cooked my turkey an extra hour this year!

I used to have a friend that worked there. She told me that they send you away with a barf bag if you eat the whole thing. I also think they give it to you for free if you can eat it all in one sitting. I personally love my steak Medium well. Not to done and still juicy. MMMMMM I love steak now you have made me hungry. Off to the fridge I go to find something to cure this craving. LOL.

I know, I crave steak quite often. I so want to go there. I am going to have bariatric surgery hopefully soon, so I'll never get to go there. *sigh* I guess I'll have to eat local steak!
