From the TV news, I learned an interesting fact. In the past USA Presidents, then four of them are left-handed, including the current President Obama. Only George W Bush is right-handed. It seems that left-handed people are talent in the speech. Here we think the left-handed people are smarter as fewer people are left-handed.

I have a friend who is left-handed, and I think he is smart. He invented something before.

Unfortunately, just because someone's good at talking, it doesn't mean they're smart. I've found it's the quiet people that are actually more wise; when they speak, you know something important is being said.

Hi youless, thanks for sharing this piece of information. In my country it is believed that left handed are more creative than the right handed ones. I am a right handed therefore I don't fall into the creative category. I did not know that in your country left handed persons are more talented in speech since that is one of my talents even though I am right handed.

Yeah that is the common belief that left handed people tend to be smarter than the right handed people. Well I do not know if there was a study performed to proved that belief system but I would be interested to know that if that is indeed true.

I think it's a very interesting fact but don't take it so serious. The intelligence isn't judged by right-handed or left-handed, but the diligence

Happy Spring Festival, dear youless. It is interesting that you have found this amazing fact that four of the American presidents are left-handed. There are quite a few acquaintances around me, who are also left-handed and are talented in some fields. In my family, my sister-in-laws are also left-handed. I have to say that I am right-handed. If I had to use the right hand to do something that needs some special skill, it would be very hard for me. lol. I wish you to enjoy yourself during the Spring Festival.

Do they base that conclusion only on the fact that 4 Presidents (out of 44) were left handed?..

They had this conclusion by the modern Presidents only.

i am just curious how many USA presidents are they surveying before they come up with this conclusion??? is it all the past presidents or only some of them??? anyway, i sort of agree that left handed people are smart but not all... many right handed people are also smart and good in speech... take care and have a nice day...

Yes it is true. Bush Sr. , Clinton, and Obama are lefthanded. They tell me Reagan was too but I can't remember seeing him sign anything. Before then there were only two others, Ford , who was president in the 70's and Garfield who was president in the 19th century I think.i am proud because I am lefthanded too. Here we have National Lefthander's Day on August 13th. I guess I have to send the president a greeting that day.

Reagan are right-handed and left-handed. I am surprised that he can manage it well. I learned that Ford is left-handed from the TV.

Actually, I don't believe in any way that left-handed people are smarter. I know some left-handed people; in fact, the left-handed people I know are only of average intelligence, while all of the people I know who are of above-average intelligence are right-handed.

gr8 info youless.......... i dont know how far left-handed people are intelligent but from my knowledge most left-handed people are highly talented. Though in my country left-handedness is considered as some kind of ugly habit, there are many successful people here who are left-handed. an article in wikipedia.com shows that left-handed people perform above-average among the high achievers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-handedness if this is really true than its bad for me as i am not lefthanded but cheers to america as they have got obama -- one of the great orators i hav seen, his speeches are truely motivating

I heard the 25 percent of the population is left handed. My partner and one son are left handed. My daughter, other son and myself are right handed. I did heard that many lefties tend to be more creative and artistic. If you look into the number of lefty celebrities you would be so surprised cause there are a lot. Also most of my boyfriends were lefties. There was only one that was able to do things with either hand. Guess I like them lefties. HEHE

So with that being said, does this prove Obama can effect a change? Left-handed people think with their left-brains right? And that's where the logic and reasoning part is. I sure hope he's a logical President.
